Shegaon is near Akola( 40 kms by road, 30 minutes by train). Many superfast trains, arriving from Bhusaval side or Nagpur side have a stop at Shegaon. From Akola, there are buses every 30 minutes. We used to visit this place very frequently for getting blessing of sri sant gajanan maharaj, This is one of the best religious place in India. Must Visit to take Blessings of Shri Gajanan Maharaj..One of the most purely maintained temples in India. ...no corruption , no different queue, excellent PRASAD and staying arrangements.......nobody asking for money in temple.......I go there every year to take blessings .........Anand Sagar is Oasis in a desert...

Gajana maharaj temple built on samathi of gajana maharaj. we visted temple on 14 jan 2014, very well managed by sansthan trust. The Dhyan kendra is very nice. food of sansthan is very good. Sri Gajana Maharaj temple is situated in amravati dist. The nearest station is shegaon but all superfast trains do not have halt on this station. The nearest big station is Akola. Gajanan Maharaj Temple is really very nice as compared to shirdi and tirupati. It has not gain that much popularity like those temples but you can see the management and rest of the things.
