Wooden structure of the front facade gave the impression that wood quality of era passed were "solid". Many stone artefacts were seen dating back between 02 AD to 17 AD. Some were truly remarkable structure though "chipped" at places. A small room adjoining where "weapons" used were stowed in glass cages gave the feeling that soldiers did have strength to... More

the place takes you back to a different era....the wooden pillars and the beautiful corridor is spectacular!they have maintained the place well and have a treasure of statues.....worth the visit.

if u have spare time when u r in shimoga...visit this place. the place is well maintained and garden is beautiful.

We went to this palace which is in the heart of Shimoga and interesting to see this palace - not a very big one though. BUT it is closed on MONDAYS ! Didn't know about this so might visit it next time.
