we drove to Kasese for a night at Spring international Hotel. This hotel looks like it’s been a colonial paradise in its hey-days, but are now pretty run down. The Indian food here was really good though! The local orphanage children had an outing to the hotel’s swimming pool. We spent the afternoon swimming with them, playing ball, lounging by... More

I did a trek to Margherita peak with RTS and it was nine of the worst days of my life. The lack of communication and professionalism of the company resulted in not being taken care of properly when I got very sick (thanks to the inexperience of RTS) and also led to not having any food after a 12 mile... Had a great trek and hike up the Stanley massif. Luckily it did not rain as much as I feared it would. Very similar to West and North Sikkim forests. The Bakonjo people are wonderful human beings.

We spent 3 days trekking through the Rwenzori Mountains National Park. We absolutely loved this experience, each stage climbing the mountains was different from the last. We used Ruwenzori Trekking Service as our guides for this trip. This company is a very professional, well run trekking company. Our guides were Moses and Jessica, we couldn't have asked for better guides.... More

I´ve made an 8 hour hiking with 2 friends in the beginning of the rainy season. The park is amazing and the guides very helpful. We payed for the entrance and nothing else for the 2 guides (just tips in the end). You have to reach the place by car (no public transportation) and it is good to bring food... More

Did Nature walk at the foot hills of Rwenzori mountain also a walk on Mubuku River at Rwenzori. A lot of short and long circuit trails for hiking for those who don't want a long hike to the peak of the mountain available.

This trekking company does a great job of providing an unforgettable trip. The guides are awesome – we had Samuel and Robert, two guys who really knew what they were doing. This is important as your lives are literally in their hands on the summit. They were super nice, and listened to what we wanted to do. The porters were... More

Went on the two-day trekking 2 weeks ago with Rwenzori Trekking Services (RTS). Because I seemed to be fit the guides would take me on the three-day trail in 2 days, which was very exhausting but definately worth the efforts. Stunning views and unique landscapes!

I have traveled extensively and seen many places of immense natural beauty, but I think that the Rwenzori Central Circuit hike has been the most memorable so far. The Rwenzori Mountaineering Services control access to the park and do take advantage of the monopoly, but the upside is that only 32 hikers per day are allowed in. Because of the... More

Rwenzori National Park was the highlight of my travel in Uganda, it was such a wonderful experience to trek in the National Park, the trick is to be ready for any weather, rain, sunshine, in a matter of hours.
