I and my husband was on honeymoon. After 6days in Bora Bora island we visited Rangiroa only for scubadiving. Our first dive was with Top Dive at which we were booked for three dives by easytahiti.com. It was a refresh dive and took only 10mins after 30mins waiting on the boat!! We was very disappointed with its service, and decided... More

We stayed at a resort that had a dive shop on the grounds. However, after reading the reviews for Y AKA Plongee we decided to dive with them. From the very first emails to Katy and Marco (the owners) I knew I had chosen the right dive shop. Their friendly nature comes right through in their emails. Upon meeting them,... More

We did seven dives with Y AKA in our 4 days in Rangiroa....each dive was spectacular in it's own way. You will dive the Tiputa pass almost each time unless you request Avatoru, but each dive in Tiputa was so completely different depending on the time of day. Between those seven dives, we dove with all of the DM's and... More

dream team, takes small groups only, Katy and Marco really love their job and although they see dolphins everyday you can see and feel how happy they are after each dive. They really take care of you, we ended up doing 5 incredible dives in 2 days and if we could would have done more!!!!! Marco's timing for the sunset... More

They are not the oldest or the largest dive center in Rangiroa...just the best. If you have read my past reviews then you know I have known Katy and Marco since before they opened Yaka Plongee. In my opinion they have the best team around. Their captains, Alexi and Benoit, know their jobs and are very reliable. In addition to... More

Yaka would be my gateway to the sea in Rangiroa. VERY friendly team. Very relaxing and passionate about diving. Thank you Katy and Thomas for the great diving and showing me the dolphins of Rangiroa

I went scuba diving in Rangiroa with Y AKA Plongee for the first time in my life and I am glad that I kept such an experience for this special place. It was just the guide and myself in the sea, no other people around us and it was just beautiful. Thomas, the guide, showed his patience and professionalism working... More

Small boat, small but professional, passionate and dedicated team, friendly welcome, take their time and very very shortly, you feel as if you have been diving with Kathy and Marco for years. Marvelous dives, many thanks to them!

Don't be fooled by the lack of showrooms, big buildings or lots of boats and guys hanging around. Y AKA (the name is a play on words in French) is a great reason to come to Rangiroa. If you want to dive to see sharks, dolphins, rays, eels, etc. in a relaxed but professional setting this is the place. Yes... More

Katy and Marco, the co-owners, and all the staff of Yaka are extremely friendly. They are also very helpful and very professional. They dive from two zodiacs and the groups are always small. They go where the divers want and time their dives according to the current in the passes. From speaking to people who dived with Top Dive, the... More
