The scenery is just spectacular and the skyrail pods are fantastic. I we did not go on the diamond pod - but I think we saw just as much without being distracted. The walk to Kuranda Markets was only about 7 mins with slight uphill climb.

What a way to see the county side of Far North Queensland sitting in a chair lift high above the canopy of the forest with the surrounding beaches, mountains in the distance. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

we didn't take the diamond car but found the regular one quite fine. we had the car to ourselves and it was nice to be able to stop at a couple of places and look around. Didn't go much on Kurunda itself as it was packed out with tourists and everything was overpriced. worth the trip, even though the day... More

My family's ride on the Skyrail was awesome! They put 6 people in a pod and even though we went in school holidays when it was extremely busy it didn't take too long but do try to get there as early as possible - 9 - 9.30 am if you want to maximise your time.Spectacular views across the rainforest. Make... More

We had great fun on this surprisingly long and very scenic cable car ride. Following our hotel tour desk's advice, we paid extra for a Diamond View cabin one way (the return trip was on an ordinary cabin). Although gimmicky, the Diamond View cabin felt more like taking a cable car ride in the forest, whereas the ordinary ride felt... More

Well worth the effort to get there early. We booked on line and had a huge discount. The ride over the forest canopy was amazing. The information about the forest is fantastic. Kurunda town is a little tacky, with many tourist shops. We went on a walk to the Baron Falls railway lookout. Certainly one to do. Enjoy the experience... More

Hats off to the builders, organisers and staff of this attraction. Superbly organised and staffed by cheerful and helpful people, this is a must-do attraction. The intermediate stops on the trip are well worth exploring. The care that has gone into the presentation of information about rainforest flora and fauna is a credit to everyone. Everything is clean and well... More

Little cabins that hold six people travel above the rainforest canopy. After our first bit of trepidation ( especially mum) we relaxed and really enjoyed the view. Looking down into the rainforest we saw things we would not have normally seen such as cockatoos sitting on top of trees and trees in full bright red colour breaking up the lush... More

When booking the skyrail we had to make a choice between the three different carriages. Looking back I think we picked the right one. We chose the cheapest which was the basic pod that held 5/6 people. Apparently with the glass bottom pod you saw as much as we did on our pod and although the open carriage was suppose... More
