Brilliant , so easy, very organised, such friendly helpful staff. We travelled up to Kuranda on the Senic Railway looked around the town and came back down on the Skyrail. Fabulous views, it stops at two stations where you are able to get off and look around, if you want to, if not carry on your journey to the bottom,... More

This is a must-do on trip to the Northern Beaches. My husband I stayed in Palm Cove and made a day trip of this. The views are spectacular, and Barron Falls had me close to tears with it beauty. It is an approx 45 min ride up and you stop at little stations for bushwalks and lookouts along the way.... More

Ticketing was easy. I did it over the phone. The gondolas are in good condition and the speed is well maintained to ensure comfort. The brochure is informative and mentions the flora and fauna that you may be able to spot between towers. The two stops offer some excellent information on the rainforest. We were lucky to have had a... More

Was a great trip up to Kuranda. We arrived at opening time and were worried that we would be squished into a cable car with others as so many people, but no, we had a car for just the 2 of us. There were a few stops on the way up that you could get out, go for a forest... More

Bought this as part of a package from a travel agent and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Boarding is quick and slick into small pods and what's nice is that groups/couples aren't forced to travel with strangers. Informative paper guide is available before getting on so that you know what to look for on your journey. Amazing views of the rainforest... More

Decided to to opt for the triple package starting with the Thapukai Cultural Centre - fantastic experience you get the chance to throw boomerangs , launch spears play the didgeridoo. The Aboriginees put on a great show of dance and you can learn loads on their culture Next up the mountain on the Skyrail - we opted for the Diamond... More

The gondola ride just few meters above the rain forest tree canopies is just a catchy line to attract tourists. Actually you are not in the midst of thick rain forest and the ride is just lack luster. Visit it if you do not have much to do in otherwise bustling Cairns.

Hi Bond13007, greetings from Tropical North Queensland, Thank you for your comments and feedback, it is disappointing to hear that the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway experience did not meet your expectations. We chose the train up & the sky rail down. The train trip was slow but a good way to appreciate the history & surroundings. Kuranda was a quaint town easy to walk around but set up for tourists. Plenty of shops & cafes. The highlight of the tour was the sky rail down. What a fantastic way to take... More

This is well worth the time to get a bird's eye view of the rainforest and to learn about what lives there and how they are maintaining it. The tour guide was very informative as well.
