If you go back to Kuranda in the afternoon, there will be less crowds and you don't have to wait. At each stop if you leave the skyrail, you have to wait queue to go further. Skyrail stops at two places and you have the chance to see the forest in a loop pathway. View from top is amazing and... More

What a magnificent day to do Skyrail….. cloudless blue skies and endless views over the rainforest and beyond to the distant savannah. But in my book, if you want to really experience the rainforest you've got to get into it. I did both the Red Peak rainforest walk and the Djabugay Aboriginal rainforest walk. The former is part of the... More

The ride was nice. The view was good. Nothing to complain about but not the jaw dropping enthusiasm I see in other reviews.

Have done previously but a trip to Cairns not complete without the sky rail experience. Relaxing and a great way to see one of Australia's rainforest. Not only for the kids! Can book on line for 5% discount on ticket prices. Have done the train one way but once enough the sky rail both ways for me.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a great trip BUT these 2 BONUS tours makes it EXTRA special - Canopy Glider (open carriage with 360 views) and the Djabugay Aboriginal Rainforest Walk (starts at Barron Falls Station). More Info on my Blog AdventureMumma.com Both activities made me view the Rainforest in a completely different light. And as always Skyrail never fails to... More

We really enjoyed our Rainforest cableway experience. We had booked online and we had booked the collection from our hotel. This was great, on time and a very pleasant driver who dropped us off at the entrance and advised us how to proceed. The check in procedure was handled by a lovely lady who advised us that as we had... More

An amazing view of the rainforest canopy, just gliding over the top of the trees was a fantastic experience. You can get out at 2 stops to look over the gorge and waterfalls.

We booked this each way to Kuranda as I'd done the train years ago & thought the kids would be bored. No chance of boredom on the sky rail!! We also added the wildlife package for the 3 parks. We didn't bother upgrading to diamond and I'm pleased we didn't as the views from the regular cars are great. The... More

Wonderful experience. The transfer company was on time and the fantastic driver gave a great commentary on the way to the Skyrail. Excellent gift shop with local artwork available not just the regular offerings. We upgraded to the open glider which was fun and allows for easy photos and then the diamond view gondola so you can see straight down... More
