beautiful trip up on the cable car and an equally good train trip back. Good way to spend a day, plenty of activities when you get up the top. Reasonable value, fairly well organised.

We took the Skyrail both ways (to and from Kuranda), and it was a fun experience. Everyone has to get off at the first stop as the cable car turns around and goes back down, so even if you don't want to do the walk, you still have to disembark and walk around to get in line for the second... More

Overpriced tourist trap. Not worth the money or the time. We came up here for the hiking trails we head about online. After spending $200 just in transportation (the sky rail) to get here we were disappointed when the tourist information center told us the only 'hikes' were on the short board walks around the sky rail and a 30... Hi MissLaFlamme, Thank you for visiting Skyrail and sharing your comments with the TripAdvisor community. Skyrail Rainforest Cableway offers our guests the opportunity to glide over the rainforest canopy and explore the forest floor from our two mid-stations Red Peak and Barron Falls via two short boardwalks. The easy access pathways at Red Peak (approx. 175m boardwalk) and Barron Falls... More

Very nice views. A nice breeze too for hot days. Enjoyed this more that the train (return journey). There are 2 stops on the way to Kuranda and both are good. The second stop as an interactive center which we spend a lot of time at (it was interesting but also because it was air conditioned :) We took about... More

Fun, scenic ride over the rainforest, amazing 360 views! We paid a little more to have the diamond pass where you get a glass floor pod to make the experience even better and more thrilling! Town was great with lots of shops, markets and restaurants to enjoy! Bought some aboriginee boomerangs from there :) I recommend!

We travelled on a very busy day just after Christmas, the ticket staff advised to go straight through to Kuranda - we had to exit and line up half way up the mountain. This was a great piece of advice, as we left most of the crowds behind. Living close to Katoomba, we have travelled on the Scenic Skyway and... More

We visited the skyrail last week and were quite impressed the views. On the first leg they were spectacular with a panoramic view of Smithfield and the surrounding areas. At each stop there were Rangers giving tours and fantastic boardwalks showing the great scenery. At the last stop (turn around point) you can explore the town of Kuranda with shops.... More

We travelled up and back to Kuranda for a day trip via Skyrail, and purchased the "Diamond View" upgrade recommended to us. On the way up we were asked to board with a family that had a pram. In hindsight we should have refused. Not the embarrassed family's fault, but their pram obscured much of the glass bottom view for... More

My partner and I visited this attraction in January 2015 and there were no crowds and very few people.
