Beautiful sights!

Very fun and interesting tour. We were able to do a scavenger hunt to look for answers to questions throughout the tour. Was able to see beautiful sights from atop :)

we really enjoyed this morning ride up to kuranda (to eat at the German tucker shop!) for lunch and back again. we didn't do the tours or walks through the forest on the way up - just went for the ride, and it was gorgeous. the cars felt a bit 'sticky' and could of used a bit of a clean... More

We did the skyrail up and the train ride down. I am terrified of heights but it went well. There are two stops so even though it is about 7.5 km of a cable car ride you can get off and walk around. I was disappointed with the town once we got to the top. It was a great deal... More

Good views of the rainforest canopy from the Skyrail, with several stops on the way up to look about. We had the Diamondview car with glass floor. Barron Falls were a mere trickle that day in summer, but you get a sense of what it must be like in The Wet. At the top, you can wander the shops and... More

This is just an amazing marvel of engineering. The views are magic, the ride is fun and the distance you cover is quite impressive. Heaps of photo opps.

Our online booking for the Kuranda Skyrail/Train tour with an agent suffered a setback even before we started. We were on a cruise ship which called into Yorkey's Knob. There was a lot of disruption to the tendering process due to the choppy seas and when we finally made it to shore we were two hours late for our designated... More

We were originally booked in to do both the railway and the skyrail however due to a large amount of rain from a cyclone close by, the railway was cancelled that morning so we did the skyrail up and back from Kuranda. As it wasn't too busy, we got a carriage to ourselves which was great. Even though it was... More

Bear with me: my story will be a bit long but you will understand how a counter staff can change a trip entirely. I went on the Skyrail through a Down Under tour - which I do not recommend at all. On the useless 1h drive around Cairns to do hotel pick-ups, our driver told us our ticket for the... More

This is truly a breathtaking ride. It's high. It's long. It has some variety. And it's beautiful. After this you don't need to do the railway. Go round trip.

This is the second time we've done the Skyrail only this time with a 6 month old. We decided to take the round trip rather than take the train one way but the train is definitely a must do. Beautiful scenery on the way up and can even accommodate a pram. We have a decent size 3 wheel pram which... More
