Echo all of the other comments about the beauty of the area, but with diamond view you pay an extra $10 per person and wait for one gondola in 10 while those with cheaper tickets go past you, then get a nearly identical gondola to everybody else with a little window cut in the floor. When the crowds are large... More

This is a great trip and one of those must-do things when visiting Far North Queensland - even if you've done it before. The scenery is simply spectacular. The interpretation centre is getting a bit dated but still worth a visit.

What a way to see the rainforest! We were certainly not disappointed with the whole experience. We loved the opportunity to jump on and off the Skyrail at the different stations, to stroll the boardwalks and take in the scenery. Kuranda was nice, a disappointing lunch but not worth mentioning here. We walked all trails which were good fun and... More

It's a really great way to see the vast rainforest of Queensland. The ride is very interesting and the views are spectacular - don't forget your camera! The village at the top of the SkyRail: Karunda, is definitely worth a visit. Shame these guys charge so much for the ride though.

I booked our day direct with Skyrail on line. Everything ran to plan and was so well organised, we were picked up from our hotel dead on time and driven to Skyrail by the lovely Roger who gave us lots of information on route. No queueing for us just scanned the barcode on our e ticket. As it wasn't too... More

The skyrail was not too busy the day we were there so each group could have their own cable car. You get a good view in the normal car so not sure that upgrading to the diamond one with glass bottom is really necessary. You can get off twice. The first stop we had a very interesting little tour with... More

We took the Aboriginal Park tour first and it was one of the best attractions of the day. The demonstrations were excellent and very educational. They didn't take too long and the staff at the facility were great, a must see add-on. The Skyrail ride was awesome as were the stops along the way. We took the train ride home... More

Really enjoyed this trip , such a great way to see the rainforest. We got the Skyrail up in to the rainforest and came back on the railway. Views were amazing and the cable cars were a little scary (a bit high) but we soon got used to it. We had a nice walk around each station, around the village... More

If in the Cairns area the Skyrail is not to be missed, flying high above the vast rainforest. There are two stations to get off at to explore around. The best way to go up is by Scenic Railway to Kurunda and then back by Skyrail to enjoy the Barron Falls on the way up.

We booked this from the UK and everything went smoothly. The capsules are quite small and would probably take 4 adults at most. There are lots of capsules that are on the move continuously. We got off a couple of times, wondered around and ended up at Karunda. There's plenty to see, lots of photos to take and umbrellas available... More

Hi MGW140165, Thank you for posting your TripAdvsior review. It is fantastic to hear that you think that Skyrail is a 'brilliant way to see the rainforest'. Skyrail has 114 gondolas and each can carry up to a maximum of 6 guests. Our new Diamond View (glass floor) gondolas take up to 5 guests. Skyrail also provides umbrellas at each... More
