Enjoyed the Cableway down the mountain after a day trip at Kuranda. The trip is broken into a few cable cars so you can get out to see some of the sights and walks along the way. At least one of the stops has a restroom. There is a folding map with information for each area of the trip down/up.... More

My husband and I loved our tour on the Skyrail. The views from the gondola are stunning. Even on an overcast day, there were great photo opportunities and the scenery was beautiful. We didn't upgrade to the glass-floor gondola, but found the normal gondola to be great. Unfortunately, Barron Falls was almost completely dry during the time we went, but... More

I would recommend the skyrail up to Kuranda and the Train back. You get a great view form the gondola with plenty of photo opportunities. We didn't upgrade to the gondola with the glass floor, so I'm unsure if was worth the addional $100 per couple? We joined a nature walk on the mid stations, very informative. An enjoyable day.... In the Sky and on top of the Forrest, wow what a ride. Awesome views down to the coast and over the Daintree. Upgrade to a glass bottom cable car for a great view and also jump the cue. Must do. (also you can hop on an open air car)

We have just had a great day out. We would recommend this to anyone who likes a well organised day with friendly staff. We was advised to take the train first and then spend time at Karunda then return on the Skyrail cable car. This worked out perfect. This is well worth the cost. Thank you.

The Skyrail is an lovely way to experience the rain forest, we had clear views in all directions. We rode the upwards direction in the glass bottomed cable car which afforded great views of the forest canopy. It is possible to do the ride in one direction and get the scenic train back down (pre-organised) but we just came back... More

A pleasant, scenic way to return from the Kuranda train ride. The views over the rainforest and across Cairns and surrounds was amazing. A commentary would be a welcome addition. My son came with me and he could point out various interesting points along the way and also knew about the construction of the cableway. Others in our car appreciated... More

We booked a tour through our hotel the day before, were picked up promptly and given clear instructions by the driver prior to arrival at the terminal. Once there it’s just a case of joining the appropriate queue to get your tickets and once through the turnstiles away you go. We went in low season so it wasn’t too busy... More

The longest cable I have ever been on and had a gondola to myself for the entire ride which was even better! You have the option of stopping twice on the way down from Kuranda to take in the views. It was dry season when I was there so the Barron Falls were not very dramatic but the view was... More

You shall get the best views of the coast line & forest on this ride! We caught the cable car one way up to Kuranda and the train back. Leave your car at the Skyrail car park and your ticket can include a bus back to your car if you catch the train down. Look out for the points of... More
