We had such a fantastic day. The staff were friendly, helpful and informative and then we got into the gondola and felt like we were floating through the sky. You really do get a birds eye view of the rainforest but we could also see out to green island.

The sensation of hovering above the tropical rainforest canopy (sometimes only feet away) is the domain of helicopters and birds, but can be yours too with the Skyrail. It costs $50 adult $25 child one way to Kuranda or $75 adult $37.50 return to Smithfield (or reverse). Family (2 adult 2kids) $125/$187.50. If you REALLY are confident with heights then... More

A major attraction that should not be missed when visiting the area. Plenty of parking close to the terminal. We booked the night before and collected our tickets at the counter as the electronic dispensing machine was having a moment. Though some of our group had concerns being in an enclosed space and heights, these were dispelled quickly. Definitely spend... More

Wow!!!!!! Was fortunate enough to celebrate Skyrail's 20th birthday today and it was just superb. I remember when it was being built and the helicopters were dropping the pylons into the rainforest so as not cause too much disruption to the rainforest floor. i cannot describe the feelings of admiration for the teams that constructed this cableway. It is just... More

What a great day! I did a lot of research before making my tour choice. I selected self drive, round trip (return) with Djabugay Aboriginal Guided Tour. I also upgraded to diamond view. I selected this combination because it was my first full day in Australia and I didn't have a lot of time and wanted to see as much... More

It was nice but it's 140 (2 people) is about $100 more than its worth. I think maybe drive up or sky rail up and train back might be a better experience. The town is like any touristy town

3rd time I have done this. never get tired of it. The rainforest walk half way up was terrific. The guided tour was very well informed and funny at the same time. Only dislike is the price. Very expensive cable car ride. We ended up on going up to Kuranda and then got picked up by car to save money... More

What an asset this attraction is to Cairns. The staff were faultless in their friendliness and enthusiasm and I really felt that they wanted us to have a great time on Skyrail and in Kuranda. This was genuine interest in us; not contrived or routine. I never get sick of travelling on Skyrail.

Great way to travel back from Kuranda, gets a little crowded at the top station in the afternoon but is expected. Stunning views and all round panoramic views, staff excellent, some people could be worried about the height but very safe. Two stops on the way back down and a must to get off at Barron Falls & Red Peak,... More

Having done the trip before(a while ago) we knew what to expect. It's a great way to experience a totally different view of the rainforest. I recommend paying the extra for the Diamond Class (just one way is enough). It has the glass floor. It's a totally new view and experience that's worth the extra $12 a person one way.... More
