It's mostly used by locals, but is open to anyone and they treated us fine, so I'd like to review it. It's a good spot for active teens and older kids who want to do things rather than sightsee. « less

This place is awesome. After having a really hard time with skiing behind a boat, I was really apprehensive to try knee and wake boarding. However, the staff were so great and helpful, I was able to get up on my first try and hey helped me to improve every time. 2 hours is plenty especially if you are not... More

Having not done any water skiing or the like for over 20 years, I found the cable ski exciting. The attendant gave helpful tips when I fell off and I soon found my balance and had a wonderful time.

This is a must do in cairns for the teenaged children! Also great for adventurous parents. With a great price it is a must do in Cairns

Great attraction! two teen daughters wanted to learn wake boarding after a few tries behind family boat. Staff were very friendly and very helpful with how to improve. We went for 1 hour session and left very happy, much improved skills, but tired and sore as not that fit. Seemed that local "experts" came after work at about 5pm for... More

I started wake boarding here about 3 months ago and the staff have been very helpful and friendly throughout. It took me ages to stand on the wake board and the staff were always encouraging and gave great advice. Very good value for money and a must do if visiting Cairns!

My husband and two sons (aged 13 and 10) gave it a go for an hour, which is not long enough especially if it is your first time. They had a ball but the youngest kept coming off on the first turn, which meant a long walk back to the start. The operator was full of advise and support for... More

I visited Cable Ski Cairns with my 3 kids aged 11, 10 and 13, and we had the best time - 2 hours of flying across the water on our knees and falling into the lake, trying to master the corners. We absolutely loved it - it is exhausting work as every time you fall off, you have to swim... More

Spent several hours over a couple of days learning how to wake board and ski better. The set up is great and the staff are very helpful with skiing tips. The park caters for beginners right through to professionals. The rates while initally look expensive, really are quite good once you absorb what you're getting. My kids enjoy the odd... More

We had been told about this place by a friend who had visited Cairns the year before us, she loved it, despite us being 20 and 32 years older than her we decided to give it a go! We went in term time on a Friday at around 11am, there was only one other couple there, so we had the... More

This attraction is a bit sporty. You will get wet! Easy to find behind Skyrail with plenty of parking. You can hire or bring along your own board. Full of hard earned fun. I keep falling off but eventually will get it. Awesome scenery makes you wanna come back again and again.
