Not a very great attraction BUT it has a nice big temple inside and a museum which you should visit during your visit to Vellore.
Nothing spectacular about it. There's a temple next to it which is good. Its dilapidated and has a historic value.
It was okey to visit the Fort. But theres not a lot of information for tourists/foreigners, which made it less interesting. Also, being the only foreigners there, people were more interested in taking pictures of us then the temple. You also have to take your shoes of outside, but they are being carefully watched by some people, and costs almost... More
Really nice Fort and Temple, quite original athmoshere not disturbed by to many tourists. Unfortunately the surrundings suffer from plastic waste. Some seeting places for making picnic or having a rest would make sense.
It is situated in the middle of the city. The Jalakantesvara temple inside the fort is really worth watching. Constructed in 1566 AD in the late Vijayanagara style have very good architectural and art works. Don't miss to see the Kalyanamandapa on the left side when you enter through the main gate. All the pillars have great art works from... More
great spacious, historical, housing the temple and the church. almost 500 year old. its a masterpiece in vellore - can be visited . Very crowded on weekends. plan on other days. temple inside is great architectural wonder.

The archeological museum is interesting but poorly displayed, but it's... More
It seems to be a recent built fort, still in very good condition, when you planned to visit don't forget to visit vellore fort.
a bit of letdown after reading the guidebooks - poorly maintained. not much in the way of information about the fort structure and history as a guide when walking around. Highlight was the temple which is worth a look.
