It is all business there. For every thing you need to pay more money. If you want to see how much gold Indian people have you can go. The Goddess will be beautifull.

first, the Not so good news! On the sunday before Pongal, there were many thousands of pilgrims here, and the visit took 5 hours in total! Yes, there are strict rules about handing in cameras, phones etc, and also a strict dress code. It is also very commercialised, with every opportunity taken to sell souvenirs, snacks, drinks etc, both in... More

The temple is golden. But the character is not. There are some weird norms about dress code. Lungis ( even if they are folded above knee are allowed but bermudas and even pants which are shorter by 2 inches from the ankle are not allowed. For each pair of shoes they charge Rs.2 and ask them to be wrapped in... More

Lovely temple, but should be managed better. The crowd management is not great. Though we paid Rs.250 per head and had a relatively easier darshans. It could have been better had the exit was also a separate line. The best thing is the Idol which seems to have some immense magnetic powers. You just don't want to stop gazing at... More

Would advise not to visit with expecatation. It doesn't create any spritual feeling, just a park with temple in the middle. There are lots of heritage temples located around vellore and would have developed those instead of such a expensive new creation. 'God man' is no 1 and 'God' is no 2 here.
