We were little hesitant initially to visit the temple as there was a huge line leading the way. But finally we bought 250 Rs. per person seva and got to visit the temple. We are so glad we went for it. The temple has stunning architecture and the shine of gold is eye-catching. On entering the temple, you can see... More

The golden temple is also a must watch for anyone visiting Vellore or Ranipet. The temple offers special darshan for Rs.300 and I must say it is worth it. You are allowed to sit in front of the idol for a full 15 minutes and a special puja is performed for a small group of 25-30 people. The landscaping ,... More

Sri puram Golden Temple, a relatively recent temple is a marvellous one by contemporary standards. Gold covered temple is very attractive and you feel mesmerised, perhaps due to glittering Gold. Almost as if transported to the land of fairy tales. The reflection of morning sun rays took my breath away. The place kept very neat, the temple is inside a... More

The temple and it's surroundings have been maintained excellently well by the management. One has to walk close to two kilometres to reach the sanctum sanctorum and even then, on weekdays, there is a long waiting period to get "darshan". When I visited early (7 AM) on a Monday morning, it took me a complete hour to get darshan.

Like the Golden temple in Amritsar (North), this is the Golden temple of South. Close to 1500 kgs of Gold seem to have been used. There is also a 150 kgs of Gomatha statue (Cow) made of pure silver and 70kgs of pure gold statue of Swarnalakshmi. The temple is designed in Star shape and one need to walk around... More

Visiting the Sripuram Golden Temple was a mixed experience. Once you are at the temple, its massive golden covering, interior and maintenance is very beautiful. However, the temple get a poor rating because of how it is managed. When arriving, you can see the golden temple through the main gates from the road, however, when you come inside, you're told...
