Definitely should go if near Vellore. Well organized and clean. Plenty of volunteers. Good crowd management. Very pretty in the dusk with the lights, and the covered walkways keep it cool in the day as well.

One the way from Kanchipuram to Bangalore, we visited Golden Temple in Vellore. Before visiting Vellore town, I thought its a small town, but I was surprised to see how big this town is. We had to travel almost 5+ kilometers from Chennai-Bangalore highway to Golden temple through the town. I would say it is one of the well developed... More

I recently visited Sripuram Golden temple near Vellore. The temple is built in a very large landscape and looks very pleasing to eyes. The main deity Sri Lakshmi Narayani, is present in the middle of a star shaped path. The devotees has to walk around the star path and is believed to provide divine energy. The temple is covered with... More

A temple made with 1500 kgs of real gold! I did not believe it until I visited Sripuram Golden Temple recently.. Visit during evening only to see it yourself.. Darshan timings are 8 to 8.. Free darshan should be fine and no need to purchase any special ticket and most of the places, both are same lines.. But I guess... More

The golden temple is beautiful. I visited in evening when the lights were on. I have heard that it's best to go around sunset cause then there's a glimpse of the temple in day and at night. It's been maintained beautifully. The cleanliness is top notch. I didn't feel the constant need to check if I had stepped on something... More

Very bful. Nicely maintained. But if possible this temple must be visited after dark only. If you are going to Vellore just to see this temple, then you MUST plan it in such a way that you reach there not before 5pm. If there is no special occasion around then there will be absolutely no crowd. We went on Mar29th... More

The temple literally glitters at night. Visit at night but be prepared for heavy rush. Although a no. of VIP Darshans are available which will cut short your darshan time greatly.

A newly built, bewitching temple! Looks even more beautiful in the lighting, after sunset. Very well maintained and clean. Can get tedious standing for hours in the queues, so buy the special ticket and take the special darshan if you can afford it. Truly time saving too. Don't miss going here, it's surely a once-in-a-lifetime visit at the least. You... More

This temple is one of the most well maintained temple in Tamil Nadu. Walking barefoot was easy as the path was so clean. The temple ground was beautifully landscaped with many trees, flowering shrubs and fountains. Along the way, there were notice boards highlighting words of wisdom. The sanctum sanctorum was covered in gold and was a delight to behold.... More
