When driving up to the Atherton Tablelands from Port Douglas the first landscape we encountered was termite mounds in very dry sparse bushland. We thought, hope this changes. It did. Once we hit Mareeba - and, yes, we did go to Coffee Works ( as we were asked by everyone in Queensland), the scenery changed into lush rolling hills and... More

The guide was good, had a lot of stories to tell us. We had time to enjoy at each spot we stoped to have a walk, to swim or to look for animals. The meal for lunch was good value for money.

This park is beautifully presented. The grounds were well maintained and very clean. The pool was lovely and well kept . The bbq area overlooking the pool was great, really comfy seating and protected from the weather. I stayed in a cabin which was very compact but perfectly equipped and lovely and clean. Reverse cycle air-con was great! The tent... More

After spending a few days in the Daintree region and not seeing the elusive Cassowary, we were amazed to see one only a few feet from the track to The Crater and Dinner Falls. The Crater was breathtaking and a wonder of nature. It's a must see when in the area.

There is only one way to really put this region to its best. That is to take photos with professional lenses and FULL PANORAMIC CAMERAS. You not only have the images, but are able to have them enlarged to major billboard size and beyond, without losing detail or contrast. Yes, you do pay a lot of money for such equipment,... More

Leaving Cairns by car it will be a full day trip. With many stops along the way. We travel up the Kuranda Range road to Kuranda. The Village in The Rainforest Many things to see, the children will love the Butterfly Farm. Where as the adults may prefer The German Tucker Wursthouse or The Golden Drop Winery. Leaving the village... More

So picture perfect! Did self drive from cairns during wet season - counted all the roadside waterfalls with my 3yo. Very green and beautiful. Would've like to set aside more time (then a day) to explore properly

The Atherton Tablelands is a beautiful part of Australia. I could be a bit bias since once upon a time I did live there for many years; but all the same all visitors have the same opinion. From the rainforest to the crater lakes and the rolling green hills of the farming areas. It has grown over the years but... More

Me and a friend did the on the wallaby day tour with Steve as a tour guide, who was great! Saw loads of cool things and great sights, the lunch provided was really good and enjoyed swimming in the Millaa Millaa waterfall. We arrived in Atherton to our modern and roomy B & B (non-hosted) accommodation by mid afternoon. Along the way we stopped at a lovely cafe that was attached to a local gallery (bee-oootiful pieces on display for sale) and enjoyed a light lunch. We also purchased some local produce there and nearby for a champagne and snacks evening meal.... More
