Leaving Cairns by car it will be a full day trip. With many stops along the way. We travel up the Kuranda Range road to Kuranda. The Village in The Rainforest Many things to see, the children will love the Butterfly Farm. Where as the adults may prefer The German Tucker Wursthouse or The Golden Drop Winery. Leaving the village... More

So picture perfect! Did self drive from cairns during wet season - counted all the roadside waterfalls with my 3yo. Very green and beautiful. Would've like to set aside more time (then a day) to explore properly

The Atherton Tablelands is a beautiful part of Australia. I could be a bit bias since once upon a time I did live there for many years; but all the same all visitors have the same opinion. From the rainforest to the crater lakes and the rolling green hills of the farming areas. It has grown over the years but... More

Me and a friend did the on the wallaby day tour with Steve as a tour guide, who was great! Saw loads of cool things and great sights, the lunch provided was really good and enjoyed swimming in the Millaa Millaa waterfall. Great day, Steve made it really fun and even the long rides in the bus were fun and... More

We arrived in Atherton to our modern and roomy B & B (non-hosted) accommodation by mid afternoon. Along the way we stopped at a lovely cafe that was attached to a local gallery (bee-oootiful pieces on display for sale) and enjoyed a light lunch. We also purchased some local produce there and nearby for a champagne and snacks evening meal.... More

We did the one day 'On the Wallaby' Tablelands tour and had an incredible time. Our guide Sid was amazing, his knowledge of the area, plants and wildlife was astounding. We visited two beautiful waterfalls which were breathtaking, saw wallabys in the wild, turtles, a couple of platypus and even a python - which wasn't on the agenda! All in... More

We have been to the Cairns region several times and it is definitely worth a trip through the Atherton Tableland. Wether you go by car, which will give you plenty of time to visit the far too many numerous sites along the way, or take a day tour from one of the numerous tour companies, you won't be disappointed. visit;... It is worth taking time to visit the Atherton Tablelands area, which is readily accessible from Cairns. You could take an organised tour, or just drive through the area- it is straightforward to rent a car in Cairns. I suggest you drive there along the Gillies Highway from Gordonvale- just south of Cairns. This is a picturesque drive. The area... More

What an incredible time on the Wallaby experience, the first day I had with Sarah was amazing, swimming hole to swimming whole the bus was a blast, everyone getting involved with games and each other . The second day with Tracy was certainly my favorite, up in the mountains on our bikes, eyes focused only a few feet in front... More
