Just recently did our third day riding the tidal bore with River runners. Awesome drivers, very safe, professional, and friendly. Our boat's occupants were particularly enamoured with Conor's moustache (our driver). The ladies legs were wobbly after the ride but not because of the rapids ;) Seriously though, no visit to Nova Scotia is complete without doing this! You will... More

I enjoyed every minute of trip. You should know not to wear any clothes you want to keep. The water is very muddy and it doesn't.t wash out. Just wear an old bathing suit and a tee shirt with water shoes tell your guide you want to have fun and get wet. We did and it was a blast.they will... More

We had so much fun on this adventure. Our guide Conner was great. He kept us entertained the whole time. We went during one of the lower tide cycles but the waves were still big. The guides take you through each set of Rapids several times.

This was the highlight of the trip and the most fun I've ever had on any river. River Runners is a very well-run, organized and safety-oriented company who will give you quite the experience. Katie was our guide, and she provided information about the river, the tides and the area and kept us laughing pretty much the whole time. Definitely... More

Two hours of beautiful scenery and a chance to experience wild river rafting and the world's highest tides all in one place. We travelled widely around the world and this is definitely a world class activity.

I was a little hesitant to go on this adventure. There seemed to be a great many rules, no flip flops, no camera, or anything that you don't want to get wet. Well, I can honestly say that this was one of the greatest adventures I have ever had. We rode the waves, walked on the sand bar, chatted, and... More

This was hands down the coolest thing we have done in Canada so far! Connor, our guide, was the best getting us into the middle of the action and giving us travel tips too! If we ever come back to Nova Scotia we will definitely be doing this again- requesting Connor of course! 😉

We went out Wednesday July 8th with the guide Kim for the long trip. It was the best!! she's very knowledgeable about what you're seeing as you make your way to the Tidal Bore: pointing out eagles, eagles nests, etc. She also knew interesting history of the area. Having done a Tidal Bore raft trip twice before (but with other... More

Today I went with my adult children and my boyfriend to take on the tidal boar as it stormed up the Shubenacadie River! What a rush! I would do it again in a heart beat... Once mine heart beat goes back to normal! Our guide was a young man named Conor, One n.., and he was fantastic. He was very... More

What also was important to us, was that they had the "rain jacket" things that, while not keeping you dry, keep the wind off you. Because you do get wet, absolutely soaked, on this trip, 8' waves breaking over your boat, down your collar, etc. And of course life jackets. And booties if you want them (I used my water... More
