The River Runners do a great job at what they do. You'll have lots of waves and lots of excitement on the river. As other reviewers note, it's not the same as whitewater rafting you may have done elsewhere - the waves are created by the rising tide passing over sand bars, and only last for 15-20 minutes in any... The phenomenon of the bore with the sheer volume of water that comes down the estuary makes an impact not in the height of the bore itself but in the speed of the water rising and the rapids it temporally creates. For me coming from Gloucester and The Severn Bore it was a must see. Being of a certain age... More

Four of us headed up to Nova Scotia the week after our daughters wedding. The only part of the trip we planned was riding the Tidal Bore. We were not disappointed. River Runners is a first class operation. Their equipment was great, zodiacs, floatation gear etc. Their staff was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed their job. The facility was very... More

We are so glad we booked the River Runners and were really pleased as our B&B had also highly recommended them to us eventhough we had already booked them. Our guide was Kevin and he was great. The safety talk at the beginning of the trip was very informative and our life jackets were checked before we got onto the... More

My sister and I celebrated her half century mark by booking a tour with River Runners. And this company did NOT disappoint! The company is professional, well-organized and safety conscious. Our guide, Kevin was well informed about the area - sharing facts about geography and local wildlife. The tour began with a stop on a sandbar in the middle of... More

Riding the tidal bores was amazing. To be right in the highest tide in the world, gave a great perspective on how quick the water goes up. Starting off on the sandbanks and were able to see the tide come up before we got started. Once in the tide rafting started it was unreal and very exciting. The company had... More

This is a top knotch organization. It's obvious from the time you enter the doors that everyone loves what they do. The tidal bore rafting trip was a blast and being in the middle of the tidal bore was awesome. Angus, our guide was tremendous. He was skillful, funny and a wealth of knowledge of the Bay of Fundy as... More

What a wild ride we had! We went on the highest tide of the summer, and even our zodiac driver was amazed by the height of the tidal bore and the power of the rapids which are formed as the incoming tide comes up against the outgoing tide and the contours of the sandbars in the river. The company is... More

We had an awesome time at River Runners! The outfit is very well run and organized. The staff were very helpful in getting us outfitted with our gear, and our guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. She took us over about 6 sets of rapids, pointed out a huge eagle nest, showed us the remnants of a century-old dyke system,... More

Had a glorious day on the river yesterday. Chelsea was our very able and friendly guide and she gave us a thrilling couple of hours riding the waves, getting very, very wet and laughing a lot. I've been out rafting several times before but never with River Runners. I would definitely go with the, again. It's obvious the owners care... More
