If you don't want to read the detailed review, know that this was one of the best things we did on our trip to Scotland. We would go back in a heartbeat and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Before I get going, I'd like to address the claim in another review that stated Adrian (the owner and... More

My friends and I bought the Phoenix Experience which included falconry lesson and meet the birds part and lasted about 4 hours (but we were a large group) We got to fly different birds of prey, absolutely amazing! Adrian not only has a deep knowledge, but he's also a fantastic storyteller, makes you to fall in love the birds. We... More

The best and most thorough introduction to an amazing and beautiful sport. Adrian is a master at his craft and makes sure everyone is safe while giving an incredibly interactive and thrilling experience with beautiful birds of prey. You not only get to handle the birds personally but also learn everything you want to know about them and the practice... More

Our first day in Scotland, I took my wife and two children (16 yr old boy and 11 yr old girl) to Phoenix falconry for the 2 hour Bird of Prey experience. My kids and I booked as participants and my wife as an observer. From the start, Adrian, the master falconer, was extremely arrogant and showed a tremendous contempt... More

I wasn't sure what to expect here but the time spent here certainly far exceeded any expectations I might have had. We were part of a group of about 16. As well being given a demonstration of a falcon chasing a lure (which was impressive for the speed of the bird) the falconer brought 5 other birds out in turn,... More

Bought voucher (Meet The Birds) for my hubbys birthday. Adrian (Master Falconer) greeted us on arrival and gave us a short chat re the birds we would be handling and general safety rules. I was very nervous and quite happy to just stand in background watching but after Adrians encouragement and reassurance I hesitantly fed the first bird, a hawk.... More

I was unexpectedly phoned on a Sunday morning and given three hours short notice to get there as the session booked for the next day would have to be cancelled, because I was told, there would be "torrential rain" on Monday. This turned out to be untrue, it turned out be a pleasant, dry day on the Monday. My husband... More

Day trip with a 10-year old, great fun for both of us, superb knowledge from Adrian the guide and brilliant to get so close to such great birds!

Our favorite experience while visiting Scotland! Everyone in my family enjoyed the visit to Phoenix Falconry (located next to Gleneagles in Blackburn). My family (four of us-sons are 19 and 21) participated in the basic falconry lesson which provided an in depth history of falconry, a tour of the facility, and the opportunity to fly a hawk. Adrian was our... More
