Lighthouses are my thing, or one of those lists I want to achieve. I've been seeking out lighthouses in the Philippines wherever I go. Having said that, this one is just ok. It is just out there, on top of the mountain. There are no entrance fees or what-not, because it is just a plain structure. I believe it isn't... More

Went there last June 15, 2014. The tricycle driver dropped us there and even took picture of us since that is part of their tour. Typical lighthouse I can say, nothing special. People are only allowed outside the lighthouse. There is no fee though in viewing the said attraction. You can see this lighthouse from afar once you reach Patar.... More

Faro de Punta Patar is the Spanish name of this lighthouse overlooking Cape Bolinao in Patar. Not considered as one of the old Spanish lighthouses in the Philippines because it was built during the American occupation. The location is very accessible to private vehicles and the view oevrlooking the hill is magnificent.

This is an old run down light house. You can drive up to the foot of the light house and check out the view and take some pictures. However, the light house is closed so you cannot climb up the tower. Overall, it was just a place to take a few pictures and leave for your next destination.

It can be seen on your way to Patar White Beach. It is on the left side of the road. Vehicles can go up to the Lighthouse but it can get a little difficult to maneuver especially when there are a lot of vehicles parked in the small space. Better park your vehicle at the side of the road and... More

This is one of the sights to see and have your picture taken, but other than that, there's nothing else.

Situated on top of a hill that is nonetheless accessible to vehicles, Cape Bolinao Lighthouse soars high above its already elevated position. There are stunning views from a viewing deck. The lighthouse itself is locked and what could have been a colossal photo opportunity at the top is not possible. Around the lighthouse are dilapidated buildings that used to house... More

Baranggay Patar is 1-hour semi-paved semi-rough road drive from the town proper. You have to walk to drive up a steep hill to get to the base of the lighthouse, which was closed. I am not sure if they open it up to the public, but it would have been breath-taking and worth the drive to do so. Unfortunately, there... More

Usually when we enter a town what we see is a welcome ark but Bolinao's welcome sign is different it's a lighthouse. That's the only time time I knew why it was because of the popular light house in that hometown which s the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse. From there it was a nice view of the sea and there were... More

For you to appreciate a lighthouse, you have to go up and see the entire view on top. Sadly, when we went here, the lighthouse was closed. I hope that the caretaker should always be present at least on office hours for the tourists to have that perfect photos on top of the lighthouse. You could book this as PATAR... More
