We live just 20 miles away and visit Axminster regularly, but only found out about this venue by a friend's recommendation. We visited with our 3 year old grand daughter and were impressed by what was there to see and do. It's quite a small venue, but there is a lot packed in! On arrival we were greeted by a... More

This is a really great animal park. It has an excellent variety of animals and birds, my 3yr old son loved feeding the birds and we could get really close to the animals. I loved all the little play areas and picnic benches dotted about. Highly recommend and we will def be back.

I have seen a few of these such parks around the world, and this one is by far the nicest. The animals all seem to be reproducing, which I take as an indicator of excellent health and care. It's really aimed at young children, say from toddlers to 8-year-olds, but is interesting for all ages. I was with some friends... More

Small but good value wildlife park. There are loads of different animals here despite its small size and everyone is very friendly and unintrusive. Loved the goats, otters and lovely leopard cats.

What a lovely place. Really well cared for animals with lots of space. After reading the meerkat book we wanted to visit and were pleased with what we found. Well done to owners and all staff for such a pleasant experience and the owner even took time to have a chat with us about the park. We'll worth the visit... More

Went to Axe Valley Wildlife Park today with my daughter and grandson. A friend had suggested we go as she felt it was a really great place to go to. On arrival, it doesnt look much from the car park, but don't be put off by the outside! This place is heaps bigger than you think its going to be... More

Having heard about this place last year, this bank holiday was the first chance we'd had to visit. Honestly, living locally, I was a little sceptical, expecting a farm with a "novelty" appeal of zebras and meerkats...but how wrong I was!! Our two and a half year old thoroughly enjoyed himself. The entry fee was reasonable, and for an extra... More

Yes we are definitely not a farm :-) We pride ourselves on our full fun packed activity days where children and adults can get really hands on. To extend our coffee shop would be very expensive and at the moment we are putting all our resource into the animals and outside activities but that may come later who knows? Hope... More

This was our second visit here the first being about 8 years ago when it was just getting going. The changes were tremendous and all positive. Lots of interesting birds and small animals all in natural surroundings and judging by the number of babies very healthy and flourishing. The staff were enthusiastic and obviously keen to make sure that we... More

We went back to this lovely animal park with our 2 grand daughters. One just 3 yrs and one just 5 yrs. They really enjoyed themselves. They enjoyed seeing the animals, feeding the birds, meeting the snakes and lizard with the 2 knowledgeable ladies in the encounter area, feeding the guinea pigs. The staff are all very friendly. They played... More

We visited the park on a sunny Sunday morning and it was quiet. The welcome was warm and we collected the animal and bird spotting sheets which kept us busy looking for the various species. There were many seating areas and different things to look at with some unusual birds and animals. We enjoyed walking around for about 1.5 hours... More
