Great atmosphere

Visited for a family meal, great atmosphere, good service and great food. Not a lot of choice for the children but the adult menu was great!

Thoroughly enjoyable day. Tutor was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the different types of breadmaking. Would definitely recommend this course.

Fabulous evening meal, very helpful and attentive waitress - food is seasonal and beautifully cooked. This is our third visit and would return when we're next down this way. No wifi in canteen but that means you can focus on the food and soak up the atmosphere :)

Really excellent day, good value for money. Well organised, professional, extremely informative, 6 bakes plus demonstrations. full day. Delicious lunch. If you are relying on taxis make sure you book in advance, we had good service from Axminster taxis.

We booked a hen do lunch as we are all foodies. The customer service in the run up to the event was fantastic. We arrived at River Cottage HQ and went down via tractor. We ate in the main cottage and had our own chef. Sitting in the room with the fire roaring and an open kitchen policy so we... More

What a fantastic day we had for a mid-winter feast. The atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly - no pretentiousness or anything. The children were welcomed and allowed to be relaxed too which was so so lovely as it meant we could also relax. The food was out of this world and they even created alternatives to some parts of... I booked the Midwinter Feast as a surprise Christmas present for my husband, as we were staying in the area over New Year. It was an amazing experience from start to finish - the tractor ride down to River Cottage, exploration of the buildings/garden and all the delicious food and drinks. (Glad we booked a taxi so that we could... More

We booked for the Christmas feast and what a feast it was. The entire time there was brilliant. The ride on the tractor, warming up in the yurt sipping on apple cider Brandy, and a superb three course meal to follow in the barn was an amazing eating experience one we will never forget.

My wife and I are just back from a long awaited pilgrimage to River Cottage. We've been fans for years, and finally decided to take the trip to Devon/Dorset to visit (beautiful part of the world by the way!). We did a Saturday night dinner in the farm house and the whole experience was just amazing. There was a real... More
