My wife and I attended here this weekend, a Christmas present. We are both fans of the River Cottage series' as well as Hugh F-W's cookery books. Our meal was within the farmhouse and was quite intimate alongside 16 others seated at 3 tables. There was another meal sitting going on in the barn. This appeared to be for around... More

My friend and I recently completed the savoury pastry and pie cooking class and had am absolute ball. The class was professionally run with loads of opportunities to not only watch but to practice all the skills along the way. The environment was fun and interactive, and you felt that you were developing skills you could definitely use at home.... More

Start with a (dismantled) pig and learn how to turn it into ham, bacon, salami, etc. Learnt loads, ate lots of delicious things. Liked, all of it. Disliked- I didn't want to leave!

Visited on a saturday night taken from the car park down to location in a trailer pulled by a tractor. Taken into a yurt for welcome drink and canapes then had time to wander round river cottage. Had a fantastic meal in barn with my lovely wife and met some great people. Great atmosphere with live music cannot find any... More

We travelled with other guests from the car park to the Restaurant by tractor in a covered trailer. We were taken to a reception area where we enjoyed a warming drink and tasted two variety of canopies. Then we took our reserved seats in acommunity style seating arrangements. We met interesting people and the chef took us through the menu... More

A wonderful day of filleting, cooking and eating! Learnt more, ate too much! Met other like minded people. Course is pricey but worth it though as you do learn so much. The day is packed ful, with a varied programme. Great location, with a chance to see the cottage. Great staff. Great day, thank you!

I booked a farmhouse dinner at River Cottage HQ. Initially, I was a bit confused at the calendar of events on their website. There are two events that sounds very similar, which I had trouble figuring out, but was very clear when we arrived to River Cottage. Both events provide rides on the tractor, start/end at the same time, and... More
