We stayed three days, two nights and our excellent guide Ramsi (hope I've spelled correctly) showed us many good birds. We also saw lots of other wildlife - great looks at a large mail orangutan, lots of lo tailed and pig tailed macaques, proboscis and great leafed monkeys, monitor lizards and crocodiles, a large yellow banded cat snake, three kinds... We traveled here from Sandakan and it was quite a long drive in a minibus. Once at the location we were quite impressed with what we found, food was of a good standard and lots of it. Drinks available all the time. We like to walk and the walk in the jungle was not disappointing although we did not see... More

What a wonderful place The accommodations are fairly basic. However the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful The meals were buffet style but the food was excellent--- the best that I ate on my entire trip to Borneo Plenty of hikes and boat trips. Both at day and in the evening. Amazing wildlife including wild orang- utans, gibbons, hornbills etc.... More

GO! That's it really. you' won't be disappointed. This place is perfect for close-up encounters with wildlife; even when you're not expecitng it, like during supper. It's not the Hilton but surely you wouldn't be considering this trip if you wanted to be pampered? This venue is all about seeing as much as you can with interested and like minded... More

I took a trip to Sukau with my daughter and her boyfriend. We took an afternoon cruise on the Kinabatangan River. Was quite uneventful on the first part of the journey. After about 30 minutes, our guide made a sighting of pygmy elephants. At first we could only see it camouflaged among the trees. First we saw one and then... More

Better Orang Thing Going on in Kuching!!! Here it is all about hype and $$$. The Orangs looked under nourished and were basically very unhealthy looking for being 'cared' for. Plus, the two tiered entry fee standard is very unfair, bespeaks of tourist trap.

Very friendly staff make you feel welcome as soon as you step off the boat. Food was simple but excellent (we had a whole BBQ-ed fish one night which was delicious). Accommodation simple but clean - we were impressed considering it's the jungle and the place must be flooded for part of the year. Lovely open air dining area up... More
