I took a full day private hike with the wonderful Tim Tranter in the Blue Mountains. We hiked the Valley of the Waters with lots of water falls, ancient rainforest, amazing views. Tim is an ecologist who shared fascinating information about plants, animals, geology and more. It was a great day.

Just a note to say if you want a great day out with a knowledgeable and very pleasant guide this will fit the bill. We had a hire car which is not insured for gravel roads and it was our only way of seeing some of the highlights in the Blue Mountains. I am completely in agreement with all other... More

Tim was very knowledgable and an awesome guide who shared a lot about the blue mountains' geology, history and ecology. He brought us to an off-the-beaten-track escarpment with a breathtaking view for lunch. We truly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to join him for more next time!

There isn't much more that I can add to the other reviews here praising Tim and his tours other than that they are all true. We had a great day with Tim avoiding the crowds, seeing cliffs, a remote cave, wild kangaroos, waterfalls and the canyon, sampling the odors of many different varieties of eucalyptus and tea tree, etc. Tim... On our recent visit to the Sydney area we went on the Breakfast with Kangaroos tour with Tim from Tread Lightly. He picked us us from our motel in Katoomba and we then had a four hour trip, on our own, into an area away from the tourist parts of the Blue Mountains. Tim obviously loves the area, is very... More

Our day-long tour with Tim is one we will long remember. If you are coming to the Blue Mountains and want to see the area in a way that most tourists won't, look into Tim's site. He is thoughtful, engaged, tailors the tour to your needs and clearly, clearly loves his home, the Blue Mountains. We learned about the geological... More

We did a 1/2 day tour with Tim, which included transport there and back, and a picnic lunch. The walk we did was way marked, and so could be done unguided, but for us, who didn't know the area, the history, the ecology, wildlife, flora & fauna, the walk was brought alive by Tim. Without him as a guide, it... More

We did the Grand Canyon Walk whilst we were in the Blue Mountains. The walk itself was great as was the packed lunch we were provided with. Tim, our guide, was bursting with information about the area, the geology, ecology and other information about the Blue Mountains and the surrounding areas. If you are in the Blue Mountains then I... Our guide Tim was absolutely over the top with information. HIs love and passion about his Blue Mountains shows in everything he does. Our travel agent in the States made the arrangements and this excursion was a real plus!! We might not have found this tour on our own but I do hope anyone reading these reviews makes the decision...
