Disclaimer: I could be a bit biased as I am a native of Garhwal and my village is hardly 10km from Khirsu. If you are the kind that enjoys secluded environs then this place maybe for you. There aren't many things to do here, except the park which offers good view of the upper Himalayan ranges and for those who... More

Khirsu, a small village nestled high in the Himalayas is very close to Pauri, and offers beautiful views of the Himalayas . Pauri although extremely beautiful is more of a town, but Khirsu is a small village some 30 Kms off Pauri and if you want to spend your time in Nature, and in a village type settlement it is... If you're a nature lover and like off bit sites then khirsu is a place for you. Chilled climate surrounded by green trees. In the morning you will get the view of Kedar & Badri range at a time. Road repair works is completely done from pouri. People of khirsu is very friendly.

The travel from Pauri to Khirsu and back - is extremely nice. In the road side you would find some breathtaking views. We stopped by a small traingle with very little barricade and shot many photos. The park in Khirsu is worth spending time with kids and family besides enjoying the village in valley. If you are carrying football to... More

Perhaps, Khirsu is not one of the most wanted destinations of Garhwal Himalayas and that is the reason why, it still remains an untouched beauty. It feels just at a handful distance of Mt. Trishul, with a oak jungle at your backyard and a huge park to forget about the outer world. Although KMVN has the best location, there are... More

Poorly maintained roads and KMVN is is a good option to stay but limited choices available. Khirsu is upcoming as a hill station near Pauri in Gharwal region of uttarakhand Only go if you are Nature lover and like peaceful places and like Off Beat Destinations. There is no nearby Hill Station that u can hop to, Lancedowne is the... More

Khirsu is nature’s bounty and is at about 19 kms drive from Pauri or if you are coming via Kotdwara, there is a right turn from Buwakhal, before you enter the Pauri town. The road condition is extremely good; no wonder drive to Khirsu is so much pleasure. The serpentine road runs through the peaks with a fascinating view of... More

Khirsu is perhaps that unknown gem of Garhwal Himalaya from where Mt Chaukhamba can be seen in it's best position. The huge four pillar rocky snow capped peak comes in a magestic form from GMVN guest house of Khirsu.I visited the place in 2010 & I wish soon I will make a revisit to this splendid thatre of God.GMVN is placed...
