Fascinating house and history. The guide was extremely informative and chatty but the star attraction for me was visiting the craft shops. The grounds looked lovely but it was just too cold to wander (sleet was falling) More

There are also woodland walks along the river, an adventure playground, animals to see, a maze,... More

Although we are by no means local, my wife, family and I have visited various attractions in the area, including several visits to Traquair House. Most recently, we visited with friends from overseas. As I explained to my friends, to understand what Traquair House is, you must first understand what it isn't. It ISN'T a polished, corporate owned attraction with... More

The house and the garden are in poor shape. Don't spend time on it. It is better to visit Melrose and Jedburgh Abbey. More
