Maybe we were lucky, but there were only a very few people. White sand, crystal clear water,....all the cliches. On top you get into the water & a "coral reef" starts right away. Meaning that you can see all sorts of fish just with a regular diving mask (no real diving equipment needed) AMAZING!

Beach is wide, with white fine sand (might be fluffier but I went there right after rain so it was rather compact). Water is really clear. Too bad I am here during winter so the water is cold but I am sure it would be amazing swimming if not snorkelling here. Note: there are warnings in their local guide on... More

No smoking in the beach which I liked. A variety of fish. I did not like the brown building at the end!

This area was definitely some if the best snorkeling I've seen in the Okinawa area. We saw a small shark and quite a great variety of coral fish. There is only one small public area to swim in but the coral is good there. There is also a bike rental place and a restaurant with food and drinks. The beach... More

Amazing snorkeling! Beautiful fish in all colors and sizes. The most beautiful reef I have ever seen. There are a lot of people snorkeling but that shouldn't distract you. Nice little shop that sells cold drinks and snacks. Quite a climb to get there when you're walking or riding a bike. But you can see the beach and the reef... More

Although very popular and a little touristy, this beach in Zamami is by far my favorite. The waters are crystal clear, the view is breathtaking, and it's a perfect spot to get some sun and do some snorkeling. There is a snack bar which serves Okinawa food as well as a few America dishes. Also, they serve many drinks and... More

I deeply regret not buying a new waterproof camera before I went into the water at Furuzamami. I postponed buying as the weather wasn't that good (cloudy) but I made a mistake. Furuzamami is perfect for snorkeling; the tide and current isn't as strong as on Nishihama on Aka so it's a bit more relaxed. Furuzamami seems to have less... More

One of the best places I have been too. You will get to see all shades of the blue green sea ranging from clear blue to emerald to sapphire. It is simply stunning. since I am not a good swimmer it is quite suitable for all degree of swimming experience even kids! as the cornucopia of the coral and variety... More

Beautiful white sand and clear blue waters. This is a beautiful beach with excellent snorkeling. There is a huge variety of fish in the water, even small children can dip their heads into the water to see the fish without going out of their depth. Bring your snorkel and waterproof camera! Even though we went on a Saturday it wasn't... More

Clear and clean water, can see the coral and fishes on the beach. Have two small shops renting snorkeling equipment. You can see lots of fishes even you swim in the water at the depth up to your knee. Suitable for those not swimming very well / not know how to swim for snorkeling. Can walk from Zamami ferry pier...
