Oko Fall is the best of all waterfalls we visited in our round island tour of Yakushima. From the base, the view of the fall is impressive and the rhythmic sound of the fall is enjoyable. There are rocks in front of the fall. If you are wearing suitable shoes or boots, try climb up those rocks and get a... More

These are visible form the coastal road around the periphery of Yakushima and very easy to access by car. We climbed out onto the rocks at the base of the falls and basked in the aura of these beautiful falls. The height, trees and rock face were very impressive. Highly recommended.

So worth the bus trip out here! It's a beatiful, secluded waterfall that is impressive. I loved climbing out on the granite rocks for a good shot!

Found Oko Fall a very pleasant change on the day we visited. Luckily, we were able to park in the limited area and take some nice photo's. The cool mist was like an energy pack. Great place for a picnic.

The great thing about this waterfall is that it's quite impressive and very easy to access (from the road). Even has bathrooms and a great photo op. My boyfriend clamored on the rocks to get an even better photo. Easy quick stroll of about 30 seconds to the falls. Easy for children to walk to, but not sure about parking...only... More

View up close is amazing! Super cold water but the mist felt great. Do not take the sidewalk road as it is a very hazardous and unforgiving road for your car! The correct road is just past the bridge!

We cycled to Okho-no-taki waterfall just to have a destination but it was really spectacular even after several dry days. You can climb on the rocks to get closer to the falls, it's a beautiful place to sit and contemplate the force of nature. A bus tour arrived midway through our visit but didn't stay for long so we didn't... More

We travelled quite a way to see the falls and weren't disappointed. They're not the best falls we've seen in Japan but they're in the top 100!. You can park on the main road and walk down or drive and park to within 200 metres of it.

The waterfall was nice enough but the area was so crowded we couldn't really enjoy it. Watch your step, the rocks closer to the waterfall are very slippery!

Lovely waterfall, and don't miss the beach at the end of the stream -- nice sand, and a beautiful site where the stream meets the sea
