We did the rafting day trip and stayed at their guesthouse. It was a great experience front to back! We'd been rafting a few other places and thought the rapids here were some of the best we've gone through. It also helped that it had poured the two nights before, so water levels were nice and high. If you let... More

Had a great afternoon rafting with these guys! We had the luck to get a small raft and a great instructor, so the fun was even bigger! Next to the rafting their base has the perfect atmosphere and the bagels are magnificent! Best crew ever, they even picked us up and brought us back to Oboke station!

Refreshing waters. Great view. Friendly staff. I had a great experience here at happyraft. But if you are looking for lots of the adrenaline rush white waters, here has only shot rapids followed by calm waters. It depends on what you are looking for and your expectations for this river rafting experience. To share my experience, i decided to cool... More

If you don't do anything else on Shikoku - do this! We loved it and should have stayed another few days and done some more rafting with this fun loving bunch on the beautiful Yoshino river. We will be back with company - especially since they've seen the photos. Well done guys - you rock!

Happy Raft is a tremendously well run and well executed adventure company. My wife and I stayed in one of their cozy guest houses for two nights, rafted a full day then did their canyonering half day trip. The rafting was fun with the guides providing an atmosphere of good hearted fun. The canyonering was a fun surprise. Great location!... More

My husband and I recently went down the Yoshino River with the HappyRaft team. Having been white water rafting for years I was excited to see what Japan would offer. We were not disappointed! The river runs through some of the most beautiful areas I have seen in Japan. The white water (up to class 4 on the day we... More

This was probably one of my favourite group experiences in Japan! We stayed the night in the guest house Happy Raft offers, and ended up meeting another group of Canadians there. The guest house is older and the washroom facilities are a little cramped, but certainly what you'd expect for a guest house on a mountain in a tiny little... More

A group of us came down for a half day white water rafting tour. There were no more accommodations available, so instead we chose (since we live relatively close) to split up between a couple cars and drive down. It's a long, but gorgeous drive, though anyone traveling through Japan via car knows that Expressways are expensive and Bridges, moreso.... More
