Beautiful seaview, fine sand

I went there in winter and did not swim. View is beautiful and water is crystal clear. Fine sand and very comfortable to walk in sea breeze. Guess good to swim during summer.

I have a really good memory of Shirahama beach. People said this beach is a twin of Hawaii beach.. I never went to Hawaii but I can say Shirahama has everything of a paradisiac beach : nice sand, great color of water, good temperature... I went in September so not so many people around me. I bring snorkel and I... More

The beach has very smooth bleached white sand. We visited this place at night to play fireworks and U can get them at stores just across the street. It was a bit cool at night in late September but I also don't see a lot of people sun bathing during the day. It's quiet and romantic gazing at the starry... More

Shirahama is known as hot spring area. We visit Japan on summer, so we looking for the hotspring area where we can enjoy the beach also. Its better that you staying at the hotel at Shirahama beach, so you can enjoy the hotspring with direct view of the beach. The beach have white sands, but no water sports activity, only... More

Enjoy sunshine, beach and beer in a relaxing day. Lots of fun because it is summer time. The sand is clean. There is a Daiso 100 yen shop opposite to the beach. You can buy some beach toys there if needed.

Very nice and clean sand. The current is really strong so please mind your kids. There is a non smoke policy on the beach and some funny restaurants. When you come from the station, I advice you to stop 200 m before the beach. On the legt side of the street there is an little public bathing area for your... More

Very traditional onsen with tons of giant insects. Not for ladies..the onsen is full of suspended particles but it was said that those were good for skin. We are skeptical about it

It was off season and thus not many people on the beach. My 2yr & 5yr kids were enjoying (too much). We were so exhausted to keep it up with two kids! Water is so clear and feeling of the sand is great! I love to go back there near future for longer (we only stayed 2 nights & swim... More
