Fukuroda Waterfall

The wide waterfall is splendid. You can enjoy it in all seasons, but early summer in particular and autumn are recommended.

I visited this waterfall in early spring (March 2015). It's a great nature place. I think that mid Spring or autumn will be best time to visit this.

If you're in Ibaraki, then you have to go here. As everyone else has already said, the view was breath taking. Our tour guide said that the view changes according to the seasons and to come back 4 different times to witness the beauty of each.

The waterfall was magnificent. I loved the sound of the water splashing on the rocks. It was a small walk up to the waterfall. I expected it to be a hike. It was a pity I did not get to do some shopping in the Japanese traditional shops. I would've loved to tried their Dango

The waterfall is truly called "the No.3 waterfall of Japan" - it's absolutely worth seing. Keep the ticket in case you get out of the tunnel and thendecide to return.

This is one of the best 3 waterfall of Japan. It has 2 observation decks. I could see all of waterfall at upper deck, and feel so dynamic at lower deck.
