Excellent trek and climb to the top of Rausudake to view the Shiretoko range, and enjoy great autumn colors!

While we get there, there are groups of photographers stand-by with some birding photos. We do not know what they after but the view of the ocean and the snow tips of the mountain open one heart.

The peak of Rausudake is one of the Top 100 peaks in Japan and well worth the 8 hours on the trail. The trailhead is a bit of a way out of Utoro and hard to get to without a car, as the buses don't head up until mid morning. Trail easy to find and no hassles even if you... More
