Snorkeling

Great place to snorkel! This is where blue cave is, the water is very clear. I took my sister here for her first time snorkeling when she came to visit and she loved it!

IF it is open for snorkeling, i would definitely rate this 5 stars, but i was in the area for 2 weeks and it was closed for 2 weeks straight. After I left Okinawa, I was curious and checked the site throughout October 2015 to Jan 2016, it was closed for swimming/snorkeling for 90% of the time. So DO NOT... More

Definitely a must do for whoever goes to Okinawa. The place is unspoiled with all facilities needed. Could be a bit difficult for very young kids as you need to walk for a while where you find loose rocks and sharp edges. Water shoes and gloves are needed. There are many dive shops nearby where snorkel/dive tour can be arranged.... More

Me and my adult grandson made numerous spectacular Scuba dives off of this location in the 10 days were in Onna Village. No wet suit needed and the underwater aces are amazing (innumerable species of fish and coral).

Great place to see the marine life up close. Beautiful clear waters but very busy. Be careful of the sea urchins while entering the water. They are everywhere! Make sure to wear water shoes. They do not rent equipment there so bring everything with you. Only paid tours are provided equipment. Also you must pay to wash off in their... More

Maeda Point is a great place to hang out, snorkel, and just relax under the sun. It is definitely one of the places you must visit if you come to Okinawa!

Absolutely amazing! Don't be scared off by a "tourist attraction" status of this place. Yes, there are plenty of people around and car parking might get full in-season, but there is enough of space for everyone to swim around and explore. If you feel it crowded, just swim into a little bay on the left or further down and you'll... More

We spent 3 days exploring the stunning reef and coral here with our 8 year old. It is up there with the barrier reef.

Amazing snorkelling experience! Beautiful, clear waters, lots of fish. Saw octopus, poisonous sea snake, lionfish, cuttlefish, etc! Only problem is that a lot of people are stepping on coral. :(

Absolutely loved this spot. I've been to many spots all over the world and this is definitely top 5. Only downside is there are usually a lot of people.
