We were taken out snorkelling with Take Dive, a shop just nearby cape Maeda. We went in December, so they apologised it was so cold, however they provided thick wetsuits and the water really wasn't cold at all. The water was clearer than anywhere we've seen in snorkelling trips in Thailand and Malaysia, maybe due to the season, and there... More

It is a wonderful place for snorkeling! Very beautiful! It is shallow and you might stand on the urchin- wear shoes. Crowded with divers- beginners

If you are a strong swimmer, swim from Greens Beach down to Maeda. You'll enjoy lots of amazing scenery without the tourist crowds, even in the middle of the day. We saw a white sea horse, cuttlefish, lionfish, and many more exotic species of fish.

My sister is on the island visiting and wanted to attempt snorkeling. She has been snorkeling with me at other locations but is still a novice and not always comfortable with it. We drove to Maeda Point one Sunday to look it over. She felt that she could snorkel there because it was shallow in the afternoon and she could... More

we went diving on 25/6/2014 morning with Natural Blue. it's a extremely nice experience, so safe. so beautiful. I was a bit scared for the first 1 min, but the coaches are all so professional. one coach for 2 to 3 persons, so you can figure it out it's so safe. our coach guided us all the time, swam in... We don't dive, we sometimes snorkel but we always enjoy great views. This is one of them. You pay 100Y for parking entry but you could park outside the designated area. Its not a big park in itself but its easy to get to the look out point for viewing. If you're snorkeling/diving along the west coast of okinawa-honto, have... More

This is a great snorkeling spot in addition to the walking paths above the cliffs. The steps provide an easy access into the water for a wonderful day in the water. It closes at 1700 hrs though so go early.

The drop off point for divers. Snorkeling possible but very limited and rather isolated at the bottom of a steep stair to the beach area. Not advisable for inexperienced swimmers. With a guide or group should be ok. Often closed for dangerous seas. A little shop and snack area. Lovely paths for walking about and you can walk all the... More

This is supposed to be the best snorkeling in Okinawa Honto, and I wasn't disappointed. There were many people, but most of them didn't stay long (many came on tours) and there was more than enough space for everyone. Lots of animals to see, including nudibranchs, sea snakes, eels, and a good variety of fishes. I saw several types of... More
