We stayed in a huge apartment in Okinawa through AirBnb. Hired a really cheap car from Budget at the Airport (with GPS, which they set up). Drove to the Aquarium without any problems and really enjoyed it. Very well set up, helpful staff, food and drinks available. An enjoyable visit!

This place is loved by tourists and locals. It is huge with the main aquarium and smaller exhibits within close walking distance. The most amazing thing was feeding time at the main aquarium with the 2 huge whale sharks. Have food and drink at the affordable cafe right next to it. Wait for a table right by the tank and... The world's biggest aquarium where 3 giangantic whale shark swim over us in very close distance, really blow us away. Dolphin show not really outstanding but overall atmosphere was hot and pleasant. It really amazing that not excessive commercial activities inside the aquarium, and release much time and efforts for visitors hanging around.

If there is one thing the Japanese do right (and there are many) it's parks. They spare no expense and make them so user friendly and enjoyable. Just another avenue they take pride in. The Churaumi Aquarium will delight old and young. It's a top rate aquarium with an amazing three level tank that exhibits not only a vast array... More

VERY worth the money. The dolphin shows are scheduled every half hour-45 minutes, and it was incredible to watch! The layout around the actual aquarium is beautiful, right next to the ocean. The only thing I could say about improvement is perhaps a little more english translation for the exhibits, or a handout that could be picked up at the... More

This place is awesome! First, the whole facility is located along the shore and has a nice beach. The Whale Sharks are beautiful and it's astounding how massive they are. Watching them swim gracefully is a site I won't ever forget. The aquarium is huge! I think this place is better than Shed Aquarium in Chicago. Shed Aquarium is a... More

Our day-long bus tour was essentially to get us to this enormous venue where three gigantic whale sharks live amid many rare manta rays, which have all reproduced here, a feat that has garnered the aquarium many awards. This site is immaculate, with LOTS of activities for the kids, in addition to the tank. There is also a replica of... More

Great location, beautiful design, stunning central tank. The drive up from south/central Okinawa is a chance to see local attractions, experience authentic food and demonstrate your knowledge of Japanese driving laws. Once on site, the extensive parking, wide open design and neighboring beach park will provide half a day or more of fun for any family.

Thats a big aquarium with a lot of different kinds of fishes. Take some ice-cream and coffee and sit near swimming sharks! In the end of your journey you can eat some pineapple if you are lucky :)
