We stayed at Happo-one ski resort in Hakuba for one week. In this time we visited the other ski resorts but much preferred Happo-one. It has a large number of green runs for beginners, but also plenty of intermediate and black runs for more experienced skiers. You can get from the summit to the other side of the mountain and... wonderful skiing, good range of runs. plenty of good snow which was well groomed each night. long wide runs to suit all range of skiers. restaurants and cafes on the slopes were reasonably priced. not busy and not too many snowboarders hooning down the slopes.

great skiing for intermediate skiers, the runs are groomed, wide and long. The on mountain facilities are good, never had a problem getting a table, and the food is very well priced.

This is one of the best ski resorts that you can get to from Tokyo. Lots of weekend skiers, but the slopes weren't too crowded. I went in January and the longest I waited for a lift was 7 minutes. Not too bad!

Excellent ski resort that covers a wide area. Great runs for beginners and intermediate skiers. Not too sure if advanced skiers would find it challenging enough. The snow is perfect and we were lucky enough to have some clear days for skiing. Plenty of restaurants on the mountain to stop at for lunch and a refreshment.

My wife and I came to Tokyo/Nagano over the Christmas break and we wanted to ski somewhere in the Nagano Prefecture because her cousin won a Gold Medal in the 1998 Nagano Games (Snowboarding/Canada). We were not disappointed at all. We skied on Jan 2nd, 2015, a day after a good dump so the conditions we perfect. Nice fresh snow... More

We've skied here 3 times and have really enjoyed it. The Sakka area is perfect for beginners and both my kids learnt to ski here. Some nice intermediate runs that go from the top of the chair lifts and join the green runs back down to the ticket office/main cafeteria. During the busy Christmas and New Year season, the cafe... Easy to rent gear and organise lessons on the spot. We started at nakiyama and then moved over to sakka. Free shuttle within happo one slopes for skiers and boarders.

Happoone has extensive areas for all levels of skiing expertise. In addition, there are hardly any lines and the slopes are generally not crowded even during peak hours.

Awesome. We skied at three different resorts. All of us agreed this was the best hands down. Awesome skiing, good price, gondola, moguls, powder, great restaurants all over the mountain. Nice.
