Visit there in Mid April 2012. We are stunned by the beautiful mountain view in the morning. Cloudy sky on the 1st day and sunny sky on the 2nd day, difference romantic atmosphere on each day. It was hard to walk around on the slippery road as the snow was melting.

You do not have to be a serious climber. From the station of the cablecar, it takes only two hours to the summit. You should go there between June and September, as it would be too cold or the cable cars are not running. Try to go there when the weaher is good. When it is fine the view is...

I went here on October 12, 2005. I took the bus (#66) from Asahigawa. (There are 4 a day from April 'till October 15, then 2 a day for the rest of the year). It took and hour and cost Y1000 ($10). The bus dropped me right in front of the cable car station. The round trip was Y1800 ($18)....
