Amazing views

We had family pictures taken at this park. It is very picturesque and we had views of both the snow-capped mountain and the still waters.

Onuma quasi national park is one of the most scenic place I have visited. We spent about two hours walking around the beautiful park and the surrounding lakes. We dropped by to visit the park on our way to Hakodate from Lake Toya. One thing to note is if you intend to deposit your luggage, deposit it with the Onuma... More

I went twice here during my stay in Hokkaido. The first time to enjoy the beautiful weather, the scenery and for a nice bike ride. The second time, I had to return because I had unfortunately left my wallet in the locker by the station. As to be expected from Japan, I was able to pick up my wallet with... More

We spent whole day taking photos and island hopping around Onuma Lake. If you like to spend time in nature, this is a must do in Onuma Lake. Go for the 50 minutes trail and you get to see more side of the lake. Not only you get to enjoy the view, you also have company of the raptors flying... More

Onuma Koen Quasi National Park is a worthwhile place to spend a day outdoors in the countryside. We hired bicycles (from our hotel) and cycled around the wider area, which is well worth it. The weather was great so it was a lovely day - the park is beautiful. We tasted the local milk, ice cream, cheese, beef and tomatoes.... More

Just a short walking distance from the train station you enter the walking track through the lake. It is a path that winds its way through a series of small islands connected by arched Japanese style bridges. The forest is quite lush and comes down to the water much of which has water lilies. It is very picturesque.

Onuma Quasi National Park is a must visit attraction. Some portions of the lake are frozen when we went there in dec and the view is breathtaking. Do spent some time to stroll around if you have time. There is a souvenir shop which we managed to get some nice keychains.

Onuma Quasi National Park is definitely one of the most beautiful and breathtaking park that I had ever visited. It is amazing. A great place to have a walk/stroll and enjoy the beautiful scenery (mountains, lakes islands , bridges, etc). Check out the photos! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you are in Hakodate. It’s worth the trip! There is a small shop... More

Lots of tourist buses drop off sightseers for a short photo shoot at one scenic spot. But this park deserves a few hours at least. Our visit today (mid Dec) showed the park as a winter fairyland. It was fully covered with snow. As we walked around the frozen lakes, with little islands protruding out of the ice, each corner... More

This lake is one of my favorite visit spot in Japan and it has its charm in four different seasons of the year. Last time, I went there in early winter. Despite of the cold weather there, the white, calm and peaceful environment did make me to stay there for over two hours, taking photos as well as having some... More
