I've been traveling to Mons for years and just this week thought to try the Pairi Daiza. I'm so glad I did! What I thought would be a couple of hours of entertainment turned out to be the entire day! This fabulous zoo sits just beyond the small town of Lens, near Chievres. Knowing this you would expect a small... More

Very nice place to go, children loved it so much!!! This place adequately mixes animals and environment. I will not tell you more about the fantasy, just some quick tips: 1/ Order your tickets online (including parking) this will save you lot of time. 2/ Follow the road signs once you see them and not the GPS, you get quicker... From the minute you walk in, you know that this is a special place. You are greeted by the animals in the petting zoo. This sets the tone for the day's experience. People (especially children) are encouraged to interact with the animals and to view them in their natural habitat. Different parts of the world are depicted through landscape design,... More

I visited Pairi Daiza this past Saturday, April 4th. It was their opening day of the season and my last day in Belgium. I was nervous about crowds but the weather wasn’t great and the park was pretty empty. Also, there was a lot of construction and not everything seemed open, particularly the various shopping and eating venues. It really... More

One of the most beautiful nature and wildlife parks in Belgium. Buy your tickets and your parking pass on line in advance, saves money and your time when you arrive. You can bring food and drinks with you, plenty of places to picnic, and there are also places to eat in the park, and lots of clean toilets! We can... More

Great exhibits and interesting history. Be prepared to walk, and walk some more. Plan a full day with breaks for rest. Great playground and a few good restaurants.

Even though a chunk of the zoo was closed the day that I visited (due to some company reservation), this zoo is AMAZING. The thing that separates it from the many other zoos I've been to: the variety of experiences. This is certainly not the world's only hands-on zoo, or the world's only themed zoo, or the world's only zoo... More
