Great cross-country skiing

Thank you for maintaining the warming huts and keeping the snowmobiles off the cross-country ski trails. It used to be a problem, but we did not encounter it this year.

Thank you for maintaining the warming huts and keeping the snowmobiles off the cross-country ski trails. It used to be a problem, but we did not encounter it this year.

We spent some time in Hecla Park at the Lakeview Resort. I enjoyed driving around and stopping at Gull Harbour and Hecla Village for some sightseeing.

Wondering what the dried blue dye on the rocks and trees by waters edge was? Thinking it might have been RV camper sewage dye....

Loved the bald eagles,the hiking and beautiful scenery.Theres also a board walk through wetlands full of waterfowl.If you are lucky you will see a moose.

Beautiful Island where Pleasure & Peace comes together. Our trip was 3 days which is enough to explore the Park. Wild life viewing tower is right after the entrance at your left side. WOW!!! There is NO place as beautiful as Hecla Island! We drove about 2 hours from home. The drive is amazing, water surrounding you,the wild animals around.....So Peaceful....The park is so beautiful! They have few different beaches all around and a Marina ...... Anyways a great place to visit! Fishing in Hecla Village is awesome! Must visit the Hecla village general store - great prices on clothing!

Took my Girl Guide Unit here for Spring camp. The group site (site 1) was big and had decent shade. There was a covered shelter on the opposite of the road, was booked but there is that for an option. There are a lot off outhouses within a short distance. Each group site has their own sets. Nice hiking trails nothing extreme. 360 degrees of beautiful scenery. We went in Oct and will be going back mid summer this year.

My husband and I went to hekla lake view resort for a weekend getaway. It was a beautiful drive and the reception was very friendly and pleasant. Our room was very nice and had a huge soaker tub and sleep number beds, which we really enjoyed. The best part about the resort was the food. Everything we tried was exceptional.... More
