From sunday 21 of Sep to Monday 22 of Sep, we had the pleasure of a mountain trek with Fefi. We sleept in 2000m at a shelter and trekked up to 4100m Very good trek and a very good guide! Highly recommendable!

While Im not much of a hiker (but my husband and daughter are), we still had a terrific day with Fernando. He was knowledgeable and knew every inch of our trail and was sure to guide me if he thought an area would be a little difficult. He prepared a great lunch at the top of the mountain. A great... My husband and I had a rigorous 3 hour hike with guide Fefi uphill and had the wonderful pleasure of breathtaking views of the Andes and a huge lake. Fefi carried the conversational ball during the hike as the thin air limited our capabilities; once at the top, we enjoyed some lunch together and went down a different route with... More

Cavas Wine Lodge hooked us up with Fefe and our three-hour-plus round trip hike was one of the highlights of our week in Argentina. Fefe was friendly, knowledgeable, extremely skilled (He has reached the summit of Aconcagua multiple times), and had a great sense of humor. (He said the trekking poles were "for the pumas.") The hike itself was absolutely... More

We booked a trekking tour to Mount Arenales with Colanguil. Fernando who is a fully licenced guide is very friendly, speaks English and told us a lot about the Andes, Argentinian life and nature. He prepared a fresh and delicious sandwich on the summit and (on our request) even brought us to a local shop where we could buy some... More

I came to Colanguil through Cavas Wine Lodge and Fernando, the owner, was our guide. Besides being extremely knowledgeable of the trails, he was very personable and interesting to speak with during our hike. He listened to our skill level and while he offered a challenging course, he did so within our abilities. He gave us options as to the... More

We took a one day hike with the owner, Fernando, through Vallecitos up to the top of the mountain to see the views out over some pretty spectacular valleys and we loved this day trip - I think we had more fun on our hike than on either of our 2 days of wine tastings and my husband is a... More

My wife and I went on this trip as a private tour. Fernando was a good guide who speaks good English. We hiked for about 3 hours with 1800 feet vertical climb (560 m). There are varying levels of difficulty for different groups but we were very happy with the route that he chose. The only thing that knocks the... More

Booked our trek through our hotel who called Fefe late the previous evening. Luckily we were put on a trek the very next day. Our driver collected us just after breakfast, a lovely guy called Mauro (sp) who chatted in good English on the drive up to Colanguil headquarters where we picked up Fefe. He was friendly and easy to... More

We did a morning hike (also arranged by Cavas Wine Lodge) with Fefi and took the harder route up a very big hill. Had a fantastic walk and Fefi was a great guide. You know your guide is good when the worst happens and your guide is able to deal with the situation; My husband had a fall and broke... More
