This area has the best beaches in Nova Scotia. Summerville beach is gorgeous, as are the other beaches in the area. Worth a trip even if it is a little far from home. The water is very cold, but most beaches in NS don't have warm water anyway.

This beach is a beautiful place to take a family or have a romantic holiday. There are many options nearby for accommodations. The park is provincially run and there is NO admission charge.

This mile long sand beach is one of the best beaches in Nova Scotia and being a bit out of the way it is seldom crowded. There is a nice picnic park attached to the beach with change house and toilets. A great place to go and spend the day.

This is the beach to visit when you take a vacation trip to PEI. There are stores close by and also camping areas . I've always loved seeing the Island

This whole area has some great beaches. Be sure to also try Carter's Beach and SouthWest Port Mouton Beach. The QuarterDeck on Summerville Beach is a great place to stay while doing the area beaches. We visit this area several times each summer.

We only get to Summerville Beach once a year but always enjoy the long walk on the sand. It has varying firmness's and the open expanse of ocean is wonderful.

This spot can be busy but it's a beautiful walking spot with cool ocean breezes for humid days...a couple of good places to stay and eat closeby as well!

One of the top ten beaches in Nova Scotia. Fine white sand, no crowds and surprisingly clean. Like all south shore beaches the water can be a little cool, about 17C +/- in July.
