This is a calm little village with a supposed castle. I say supposed because it's all run down. Not much to do. just stop by on your way to the port to catch your ferry back to athens. After pyrgos, go to santo wines and spend there the rest of your day before boarding.

Recommended to go here by the hotel people. Caught the bus from Fira. Had a wander round the village and not sure why others find it so interesting. Yes there is a church and there are some white houses but that is the same as lots of other places on the Island. When you walk a bit further behind the... More

Definitely worth the hike! The village is cute and I would recommend to do the walk in the morning and spend some time in the lovely coffee place in the main square.

Coming down from the Monastery I saw the village in my way. It looked very beautiful si I stopped to have a look and go around. Many beautiful churches and houses. Maybe it is not in the seaside but it is still interesting and worth a visit.

I loved the quaint atmosphere in Pergos. They have 1 roundabout and the day we were there there was traffic chaos lol...loved the quaint old streets, and the amazing handmade arts and crafts stores... the view from the old fortress was amazing.

Pyrgos is still an relatively undiscovered part of the island by tourists. We passed there by chance while touring the island by car. It was a lucky find, we had the most calm and authentic time in Santorini. Pass by if you have a car.

We spent about 1.5 hours exploring this quaint village. We walked around the cute streets with the white washed houses and just enjoyed all of the views. Interspersed are little shops and some cafes. When you get your the top the views are beautiful of the surrounding areas. Well worth a visit.

Not as good as I expected but still worth a look. Information quite interesting and as part of an island tour worth the stop over.

We visited Pyrgos on the way back from the monastery, and what a surprise it is delightful. It is only a little touristy at the bottom of the hill. Do take the time to climb up to the top, you will pass typical white washed houses, little lanes and alleys with many photo opportunities. When you reach the top there... More

We loved everything about our stay, only slight downside was you had to catch a bus or hire a car, we hired a car for two days, the Greeks are crazy drivers but it was an experience.
