Best beach on mainland UK

This is a beautiful beach, even when the tide is out. It has almost white sand, and it is very clean. Very easy to get to and is sheltered from most winds.

Stunningly beautiful beach; crystal clear water and a photographer's delight. We enjoyed an early morning visit on a bright sunny day and had the beach to ourselves - go see it for yourselves; it is beautiful.

Just round the corner from bigger, more open and sea washed Camusdarach. We couldn't resist a stroll along the white sands despite enjoying an hour or so on Camusdarach itself. Had looked at these from the road in passing but it was the first time I'd ever walked along them.Pristine water in the estuary, very sheltered and fine sands indeed.A... More

What an amazing place.. We used to come here as kids and as Middle aged adults with little ones, it was just as fabulous. We did have an exceptional day of glorious weather however, its beautiful regardless of the weather, just in a different way :-) and let's face it, you don't come to the Highlands and expect perfect, hot... This must be one of the most beautiful places in Scotland. The beach is so clean with beautiful white sand, the water is so clear its like a little piece of heaven up north. We have visited it a few times for its beauty, made even more so beautiful by the sun shining down on it.....

I drove up to Portnadoran on Saturday 23rd August for a 3 or 4 day stay at the camping and caravan site. I found a really warm and friendly site with a mixture of tents, motorhomes and caravans on a well laid out level site right on its own private beach. After meeting some of the other campers I eventually... More
