I bought a family ticket and visited in the February school holiday. We had a great day, made a bird box, made suet ball, visited all the outdoor animals and indoor exotic ones. The kids played outside in the play area. We had lunch in the cafe which was tasty and hot. It was very enjoyable for all of us,... More

We had purchased a deal and took our grandchildren aged 2 and 5 for the day in the February half term. As expected the zoo was busy which gave it a good atmosphere. The day although sunny was cold. We enjoyed the walk around outside with the highlight being the lemurs feeding time, although it was over very quickly, they're... More

We grabbed a group on deal so a trip to Kirkley Hall Zoo was a bargain! We went on a wet and cold weekend in January, probably not the best time to go but it was nice a quiet. Kids (6 & 2yrs) loved the animals and there is a nice variety too. As it happened on the weekend we... More

I love this place, my kids love it to and is reasonably priced, more so when your a family of 5 and most places cost a bomb to get into, there is lots to do, ie: animal talks, feedings, lots of animals to see and staff are really friendly and will answer all your questions. And there is a big... More

We arrived at 10 and left at 2pm it kept two very boisterous three year olds very entertained! The picnic tables where the play area is is fantastic! I would highly recommend this little zoo to anyone with little kids who want to get up and personal with snakes and dragons!

We went in half term on a Groupon style deal. So value wise it was great..there was enough to see and the staff are lovely. My 10 year old boy who lives xbox enjoyed it and has committed to more adventures because it was so interesting *shock*. I would recommend taking a picnic - the cafe is a tiny bit... More

Overpriced thought it would be bigger. Went to dirty tearoom at 2.15pm.4 dirty tables stacked with dirty plates. After sitting at one of them for 15 mins asked member of staff to clean table. She took the trays and never cleaned the table. Asked again and they cleaned it in seconds. 4 unorganised staff behind counter.Poor tea room staff management.Wont go again

Visited during half term on a groupon. We spent over an hour looking at all the animals and these were great and staff very friendly. Some areas just need a bit of a tidy but understand quiet a few projects have either just been finished or are ongoing. Its not that big in the zoo itself so don't really need a... More

We love visiting Kirkley Hall Zoo. We've been a few times, and there is always something new to see. This time we loved seeing the new Tamarins as well as the old favourites (meerkats and lemurs). My boys also had a great time shouting at the parrots and getting them to talk back. The reptile talk was fascinating, we all... More
