Lovely place, they have a very large collection of species which are in very well maintained enclosures, like many other zoos at certain times of the day you can handle them. They have everything from primates to reptiles, amphibians to birds. Would recommend it. The only down side is the state of the toilets if not for that I would... More

Visited this zoo with other families and friends. The place is a character and the animals are well looked after. And although the place is not so big, the atmosphere is very homey and very family-friendly. Recommendable!

I visited the zoo with my partner and two kids and we all had a great time. It was very good value for money and lovely to see so many animals. I knew not to expect to see animals that you'd expect to see in a big zoo but had a great time seeing the animals that they have. Well... More

A small but interesting zoo, with a freindly and laid back feel about it. When Isay laid back I don't meant it in a careless sort of way, just that you can go around at your own pace. As others have said, don't come expecting to see lions and elephants but there are plenty of other smaller animals, many that... More

Just spent morning with 4 children at Kirkley Hall. Well worth the £18 entry fee. Kids got to handle a number of animals, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the cafe really well organised especially for kids lunch boxes.
