At £21.95 for 2 adults and 3 kids. On a nice day, animal loving kids will enjoy it. It doesn't have the big cats and large zoo animals, but it has animals I'd not seen before such as the racoon dogs. There are animal encounters. You can walk through the wallabies enclosure where they have 2 rare albino wallabies. There... More

The problem with this place is not that it's not a good place to visit - it's just rather misleading. A zoo or zoological gardens conjures up an image of lions and tigers and other exotic beasts that you would not normally come across. This is more like a pets corner with extra bells and whistles. Alpacas and wallabies are... More

I had been searching for somewhere to go out for the day and stumbled upon this place. I did note the funny opening times when I checked the website as it is a college so you must check their site before you go. We really enjoyed the zoo and thought the animals looked well kept and happy. The place was... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review, we really appreciate it. As we are a college we can only open during weekends and school holidays so I am glad you checked our website to avoid disappointment. I am sorry to hear that you weren't too impressed with the Orangery, I will certainly pass on your comments to the catering... More

This is a small attraction with limited appeal. It's clean, friendly and good for a school trip for five year olds. There is no great excitement with the average variety of animals and everything feels quite compact and cramped. You will need to walk around very slowly to make this more than an hours visit. The staff are friendly. We... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I am sorry to hear that you felt our attraction had limited appeal. With over 130 species of animals I am surprised to hear that you think our collection is average, we have lemurs, meerkats, wallabies, a wide range of reptiles, an aquatics department and much more! We offer animal... More

Kirkley Hall is an attraction you probably need to know about to find. It is relatively close to Morpeth but with no 'brown tourist signs' and very little in the way of signage it is an attraction that can easily pass you by. it is however a great day out for young families with something to entertain each and every... Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, we are delighted you enjoyed your visit. Signage is something we would definitely like to improve however, unfortunately the regulations regarding signage on public roads is extremely strict and this is not something we have been able to do. Your comments are so greatly received, we... More

Should have done a bit more research first. Arrived expecting to see the zoological gardens only to find that they are shut (along with the rope slide) to the public on weekdays during the English School term. Walk by the river nice but the door to the kids outdoor play area (couple of swings) was locked. Not worth the drive... More

My fiancée and I visited Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens with friends, including a 3 year old child. The visit was excellent, not too expensive and we got very good value for money. The animals also seemed to be very well looked after and we all enjoyed the Lemur enclosure. What is more, it looks like they are expanding the site... More

If you want London Zoo then this isn't the place for you, but if you want a smaller zoo surrounded by other free or small cost activities this is a great place! Didn't see this site when I sent a review for Kirkley Hall. Loved seeing the animals they do have, and the fish. Also saw the amazing gardens, the... More
