This place is a real treat to visit. Friendly staff, good facilities, beautiful scenery. Visit in autumn for stunning leaf colour, winter will be pretty if frost or snow is on the ground. Every season there is something lovely to see. The natural surroundings are a photographer's paradise. Plenty for children to do - the Halloween trail at the moment... More

A really lovely place to take the children/grandchildren. Lots of woods for them to run around in, trails for them to follow, an adventure playground and just now a Halloween Trail. I only live 20 mins from the place but this was my first visit, feeling sorry I hadn't been before. In summer you could take a picnic and make... More

Lovely to walk through the colours of autumn on a warm sunny October day. Found the animal and bird of prey centre a little tired but enjoyed the exhibits and the tour with the guide.

I absolutely LOVE this wonderful place, especially now, when nature is giving her best, in my opinion. There really is something for everyone here, if you look for it. Getting out of the car was brilliant, as we were surrounded by conkers. I have never seen so many :):):):) The trees here are so very beautiful, and just about at... More

The weather was brilliant on our visit. I love trees so walking through these extensive grounds was a real treat. There is so much to explore that we will have to go back again. I was impressed with the Halloween walk for children. It was really well done and I almost wished our children were young again to enjoy it... More

what a day to visit Thorp Perrow, the sun shone all day as we srolled among autumal beauty. the trees were almost at the best and the sunshine made the colours light up, giving a feeling of delight to our weather weary eyes. the falconry centre was really good, the meerkats and wallabys, even the odd "Strangely ornate" chickens. good... These are lovely grounds and the trees are beautiful in the Autumn when the colours start to change. Lovely for walks with lovely views of the lake and streams. We went to the Bird of Prey experience and were very impressed with the show featuring the Large Owl and the hooded falcon. It was a great experience and the birds... More

I love this place, perfect au any time of year but especially in the autumn when the leaves are changing colour. It suits both families and people without children in tow - as there's plenty of places of tranquility. The falconry display and tour of the animals is excellent - I could go back time and again. There is also... More

Many interesting different trees and all year round interest. I like the place mostly for the trees and the fact that we can take the dog!.The animal area has been made bigger with the birds of prey being the main attraction. The demonstrations of the birds of prey are a wonderful place for children to learn about such creatures and... More

What a fantastic place to get away from it all. The gardens are maintained to a very high standard which in some ways compensates for the entrance fee.We thoroughly enjoyed the falconry display and tour of the animals. Both were given by guides who were enthusiastic and informative.Best time of year to visit is probably Spring and Autumn. The cafe... More
