Kenyir Lake is about an hour from Kuala Terengganu, but there are express buses from the city. It is a massive lake, and very interesting to cruise its waters. There are a range of activities from jungle walks to orchid viewing, and well worth the journey.

All about this lake is great except when you take a trip to the falls, you will be in a small rudimentary boat.

Looking from the main building of Lake Kenyir Resort, you have a bird's eye view of a wide stretch of water stretching to the far end where the islands form the boarder. Nearer, there are a few green islands. and still nearer, that is the hill slope of the resort with thick foliage plants and a few haughty tall palm... More

My family booked a government bungalow(Rumah Peranginan Persekutuan) at Pulau Sah with 2 rooms -with lake view. Got a kitchen, fridge etc- have to cook- no food stall/restaurant around. Got to go to mainland (RM10 return) to find one. You could visit herbs Garden just by walking from this 'resort'. Beautiful view and serene. Not many visitors around if you... More

40 of us, students and teachers landed at Government rest house at Pulau Sah Besar on 29-31 May 2013. We booked 2 bungalows and 2 hostels. We were the second group to board the lastest boat/hovercraft. Boat ride took 40 minutes as the boatman was using one engine. The lodging was OK, and it was hot as the aircon units... More

Beautiful serene and picturesque. That says it all. Should try the boat ride. It is so peaceful that you feel out of this world. The herb garden is well maintained and informative. The Saok Waterfall is very quiet and a nice average size waterfall. However, would be better if the boat used on the lake is battery operated to reduce... More
