The buffett lunch is a rip off. Better to eat near the beach front. Room is clean and spacious. We have a blacony. It also have a small area to hang your swimwear, I certainly appreciate it.

I like quiet place with private ferry, private jetty and private beach. I don't like to pay for WiFi
Played the Jack Nicklaus course in May 2013, and really enjoyed the layout. There is a wide variety of hole styles, with lots of different challenges in terms of both length of shots and strategy/course management. The scenery is beautiful, and there is a relaxed feel to the entire club.
The greens have suffered somewhat from the very wet weather...

Played both the Baker-Finch and Nicklaus courses in February - both were in excellent condition and are good tests for all levels of golfer. Given a friendly welcome by the staff. Great food in the clubhouse. All in all a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
We played the Nicklaus course and were first out with caddy Puri. She doesn't play apparently but she certainly knows the greens fantastically well to the point that often I would have sworn the green sloped opposite to her guidance but she was always spot on. Course in great condition and from Blue tees was perfect for the two of...

The Jack Nicholas course was outstanding and typical of his design mantra. The Ian Baker Finch was painfull with many blind second shots and hopeless angled lies (no matter what standard of golfer you are). Both were scenically brilliant and well groomed. I'd suggest Nicholas then play Ria Bintan net door.
We played both courses and enjoyed every minute.
well maintained, challenging, lots of water, some holes forgiving,
fits all levels of players.
We enjoyed playing without the caddies.
Personally I enjoyed the Baker Finch course over the Jack Nicklaus (too much fuss about the ocean hole)
(The everywhere pictured ocean hole with big granite boulders is on the golf course...

I recently stayed at Bintan Lagoon on a golfing trip with 7 other fellow golfers. The whole process of getting from Singapore airport (Changi) to the ferry terminal and using the ferry to Bintan was hassle free and not complicated. Upon arrival we were all met (travelled at different times) by the Bintan Lagoon staff and they helped with immigration...

Huge beautiful resort, service was great and food was lovely. Checking in was easy. The resort was in middle of nowhere but offers a nice and relaxing time without the noise of traffic
Pros: empty fairways, knowledgeable caddies, good rental clubs and shoes. Cons: average greens, not enough holes by the sea (only 2), pro shop and bar so-so.
