Dhoni hills in Palakkad is popular picnic spot with a small and beautiful waterfall. It takes a three hours trek from the base of the Dhoni hills to reach this reserve forest area.

A few us decided to go to dhoni waterfalls to enjoy the falls as to feel the nature.But our visit was not as exciting as we thought.We visited the place at the beginning of December and the place was a bit dry.There was a bit of water here and there but not as much as we expected.But that being said... We stay close to this place for many years now. In our college days, there was no chain to block your entry nor any Forest guards on those days, we used to spent many Sundays in the stream leading to the fall. brilliant walk through the forest - no vehicles allowed - that follw the stream that emanates from the falls.

Refresh yourself in the mist of the waterfall just as the plants in our Cloud Forest do! try to reach there early (9am to 11am)

Dhoni is situated in Dhoni hills in Palakkad districts. A reserve forest area about 15 km. from Palakkad.
