Last time when I had visited Topslip in Anamalai, I could not stay in the forest. This time we decided to stay in the Parambikulam sanctuary, the part of the forest in Kerala. We had booked a package - Tented niche - online. One should remember to take the print out of the online transaction as they insist on this... More

Staying in the tented niche at Parambikulam was beyond my expectations. Right from the entry post, you just get the feeling that the Kerala government is very organised. For Rs. 6000 a night it was worth it. It included food, safari ride into the jungle for 3 hrs, trek in the morning. Very good chances of spotting the Indian Bison,... More

May 3rd 2013 we went from Karur to Pollachi, from pollachi to Anamalai. From Anamalai Hills parambikulam sanctuary is 50 km. We went to topslips from ANAMALAI Hills. The hilly road to Topslips was a horrible drive. It was very dry and as there were no rains in Tamilnadu, the whole Topslips was bereft of any greenery at all. From... More

My husband and I spend 12 days staying at various places throughout Kerela. Our least favorite was Parambikulam Tiger Reserve. It took several hours of driving down a long windy road which was very poorly maintained. After going through several checkpoints which took hours, we arrived at our "Treehouse". The idea of staying in a Tiger Reserve sounded so adventurous... More

I along with three other friends visited the reserve. we had arrangement with a forest Staff who had made everything ready for us. Though Parambikulam is in Kerala we have to first enter Tamil Nadu and re enter Kerala to reach Parambikulam .there are three check posts two of tamil Nadu And one is Kerala's, the last one. Beautiful place to be with the Nature and its flora and fauna! Lot of amenities. But travel covering two states Forest check posts is always a hitch. Years back I stayed with the Tamilnadu forest Ambili Illam -in the middle of the forest! There is road from Nelliampathy, Kerala but closed for traffic by the Kerala Forest. Close encounters with... Very close to Valpparai and Top Hills. The sanctuary is okay and private vehicles are not allowed there. There is enough scope for further development

Parambikulam tiger reserve can be rated as one of the best in the country. The whole setup here is controlled by the forest department ( don't expect anything class! ) thing move like a well oiled machinery. We were a group of 16 and 14 stayed in 7 double rooms by the common dining area and I occupied the "tree... More

Corbett , Kaziranga , Sasan Gir , Periyar , Kanha and Bandhavgarh are the top notch wildlife sanctuaries of India . Amongst the second rung , Parambikulam will definitely find a place because of some incredible scenery and the all out effort of the forest department to give you the best this place can offer . You must choose the... More
