We visited Parambikulam wild life sanctuary in June 2015. Our experience was awesome. We spotted bisons, Spotted deers, Sambar, Wild boars, peacocks, elephants during our forest ride. Drive into sanctuary gives us the feel about how rich the nature is. If you are going on weekends expect longer queues at Sanctuary entrance. I would suggest starting earlier as forest rides... It was a one day trip which included a Safari, Trekking, Bamboo Rafting, visit to the Kannimara Teak. While travelling to the reserve itself we were able to spot few birds, Yellow Browed bulbul,... We planned to go on wildlife photography trip in hope of getting deep into the forest with help of known people. But we could not. Salute to the forest dept for saving nature and wildlife by not bending rules for more money. We stayed in a tree top and it was our first time experience. Wow it was amazing. Food... More

Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary is now known as Parambikulam Tiger Reserve. It is located in the Palakkad District of Kerala, but if you want to visit, you have to travel through Tamil Nadu state and then re enter Kerala.

We stayed at the Kerala forest department cabins inside the sanctuary. We did advanced booking and getting there and getting to the accommodation was very easy. Great location, amazing food. loved the safari ride. Saw lots of samba deer, Gaur and some birds. The bamboo raft ride in the lake was amazing. saw some crocodiles on the banks. The staff... More

We visited in July 2014. The area falls under Kerala though you have to enter via Tamil Nadu. We had booked Honey comb hut in advance and there were 9 of us. We travelled in a Tempo traveller which we arranged from Coimbatore. We were to reach the place at 12 noon but reached only by 2. p.m. We had... More

In order to reach the place from CBE, you will need to drive via Pollachi, Annamalai Tiger Reserve and Top Slip.. Firstly, only cars, buses and vans are allowed in the forest. No 2 wheelers are allowed. Registration will need to be done first... More
