We booked Tree top hut accommodation in Thunakadavu (Lake view) in advance... it is one of the best accommodation one could opt for when compared to Tents .. We went to Parambikulam wild life sanctuary from the Sethumadai side near Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. The gate to the Topslip and Parambikulam sanctuaries open at 7.00 AM but in real it opened at 7.30 AM. We reached Parmbikulam reception at 8.15. The safari is done in 30 seater and 18 seater buses with glass windows with narrow openings. The bus... More

If you are a wild life enthusiast, should visit the place. Place was a modified tent structure which was very decent. Food was good. Only drawback was the bus tour as it is tough to spot wild animals like, leopards and tigers as is. And with 30 people trying to get a glimpse when one of them is spotted, is... More

One of the best place we visited during our Pollachi trip. There is no online booking available and need to call the forest department of Kerala to book. We paid an amount as advance for reservation. Later when we went there, we paid the balance by cash. You can check the details at their Parambikulam site. The check-in was smooth... More

The forest department takes us inside the jungle on a safari where lots of deer, elephant, squirrel can be spotted. The highlight is however the activities arranged there.

There is a package tour organised by the forest department of Kerala for tourists to have a ringside view of the Parambikulam. The package includes stay at a tent, which is equivalent to a two star accommodation, food and safari. The itenary is, check in by 1200, lunch by 1300, followed by Safari in forest vehicle by 1500. The same... More

It is really a good place to visit. Though it is Tiger reserved forest we can only see Deer, Bison. peacock, squrill, elephant. There were many events which keeps you engaged for the day.

We visited Parambikulam wild life sanctuary in June 2015. Our experience was awesome. We spotted bisons, Spotted deers, Sambar, Wild boars, peacocks, elephants during our forest ride. Drive into sanctuary gives us the feel about how rich the nature is. If you are going on weekends expect longer queues at Sanctuary entrance. I would suggest starting earlier as forest rides... During April 2015 i had a visit to the Parambikulam Widlife Sanctury arranged by a private organization. We were accomodated by a Maxi-cab to the sanctury. It was a one day trip which included a Safari, Trekking, Bamboo Rafting, visit to the Kannimara Teak. While travelling to the reserve itself we were able to spot few birds, Yellow Browed bulbul,...
