Went to Parambikulam Tiger Reserve as a couple in March 2014, and stayed for 1 day, 1 night in the Tented Niche Accomodation. Booking was very easy - they took our booking over phone, just with 2 days notice. They also called back to check on the d-day confirming the same. We reached the Tented Niche accomodation at around 1:30... More

Funny place to review in that as a wildlife sanctuary it really is very good - and that's the main point of the place. Arranging to visit though is a challenge (we eventually succeeded by using a contact in India) and the journey in and out is a bit of a test as well. The numerous checkpoints, including car searches... More

We arrived in time for lunch, and then we were taken on a safari for 4 hours. We travelled in a small bus which took us around the reserve. We saw many animals including wild boar, gaur, spotted deer, and Nilgiri langurs. We saw many birds, had a ride on a bamboo raft and had a cup of tea in... More

I was there in PWS/PTR along with two of my friends in 'Tented Niche' accommodation for two days from 13th to 14th January 2014. I found all the arrangements in this place excellent. All the people attending the activities there were very welcoming and helpful to the visitors. I still dream of the food, bird watching, tracking, bamboo rafting, tribal... More

good place to visit.wild, romantic and adventurous. great stay. good package. make sure to get all the paper works ready. they are a bit strict regarding rules. After all they are just trying to make the place as virgin as possible for the generations to come

We drove up from our homestay outside Palakkad. It was quite a long drive (3 hours I think), for what was just a nice walk really at the end. Our two guides were great - friendly and very interested in us as people, and our lives back in the UK. I understand the standard of the accommodation is fairly basic... More

I made a visit to Parambikulam in the mid summer. The place was bit dry. Couldn't see much animals except deer flocks and monkeys. Couldn't enter into the interiors of the forest since there was a fear that Wild elephants may come out. The dam was another great sight at Parambikulam. Also happened to see some Aadhivasi(Tribal) worship places and... More

It is indeed a wonderful sanctuary and the weather was seemingly excellent probably because of the season ie, we traveled there in October 2013 and was really cool and green everywhere and little showers. The sighting of animals was usual as some here have mentioned, the deer, elephants etc. We didn't stay there but was only a day trip though... More

Have been here twice. First time stayed in a forest Bungalow and second time in a tree house. In terms of a Jungle its very much like what your normal forests are viz., Bandipur, Nagarhole, Dandeli, Mudumalai, etc. The same old sightings of Deer's, antelope's, Wild bison, boar's, sambhar's, etc. You enter the same old expectation of a tiger sight...
