Anjaneya temple is the only attraction in this fort. No other thing we cant see here except the surrounding compound wall. Near by children's park is useful and very good for children s. Nice place

Visitor information is just adequate, nothing more. All in all, just a bit boring. Exhibits need sprucing up and something done to hold one's interest.

This is a very agreeable place. The fort has been well-renovated and is pleasant to walk around. There is a small archaeological museum which is worth seeing. Overall, we spent an enjoyable 30 minutes or so here: worth seeing if you're there, but not worth a detour.

I'm a bit of a fort buff and this hit all the buttons for me, but what was a surprise was the landcaped ineterior of the fort with cottages, outhouses and beautiful flowering trees and shrubs. I spent an hour under a tree with my book and it really was the highlight of my stopover in Palakkad - If only... More

As mentioned by the others this is indeed a landmark of Palakkad and its almost impossible for you to miss this due to its central location.Unlike the other forts I have been, there is nothing much to see or mention about the architecture here. But its undoubtedly a haven in the heart of a chaotic town like Palakkad with lush green... The landmark of our mother town Palakkad. Old fort of Tipu sultan. Earlier most of the Government office's were put up inside the fort and later most of them shifted to the newly constructed Civil station building. Not much to see or experience than spending the evenings or walking around in the morning. Hanuman Temple , inside the fort is... More

The Tipu Sultan Fort , also known as Palakkad Fort is located in the heart of the Palakkad. The exterior view of this Heritage Fort looks very cute and beautiful. But the interior view is not that much great as we can see lot of Govt offices located there, which is not suited for a Heritage site. However it doesn't... More

There are lot of government offices functioning inside the fort. Its located very close to the town, and there are lot of restaurants and stalls around it.

What i liked here is that it's good for joggers who can jog and experience the fresh air, but other than that it's got nothing that i can praise. There are a lot of tortoises in d water, which one can see. Otherwise, its a waste of time, good for walking and experiencing evening breeze n fresh air. Happy walking.
