There are a few different dive centres in Santa Catalina and after spending some time there, I would recommend scuba coiba. The dive equipment was of a high standard as was the level of diving and local knowledge, all the staff were welcoming and made me feel comfortable but Ben and Tenia warrant a special mention for not only their... Diving in Coiba with mcdivingcoiba instructors Christophe and Patricia was unforgettable. mcdivingcoiba is located at the Hibiscus Garden Resort in Santa Catalina, Panama -- an off the path rustic, but beautiful hideaway. After an exciting boat ride, we learn that Christophe is the most gentle dive instructor we had the pleasure to work with and his knowledge, confidence and gentle... More

We packed 9 dives into 3 days - and got to experience what was on offer on the northern end of Coiba. The rocky topography and boulders were dramatic, and in several dives we saw an abundance of fish and life in and on the rocks. The logistics worked out, though there was confusion about whether the cargo boat would... More

People say Coiba has some of the best diving, but to be honest it seemed pretty on par with other places I have dove. It really all depends on what you see, but at Coiba you're not going to see corals. They say you will see lots of fish, but really you'll see lots of fish anywhere you dive. We... More

Scuba Coiba is a solid dive shop. I would definitely recommend them. Very accommodating. Pretty good prices relatively speaking - $150 for 3 dives plus a $20 national park fee. As for the diving - it was okay. Admittedly, I'm a bit of a dive snob as I've been fortunate to dive all over the world. That being said without... More

I can't say enough about the experience I had diving with Scuba Coiba. I was impressed with the pre-dive instructions. Nick was thorough in telling us all the details of our diving and what the experience would be like. We saw so much plan and marine life down there. It was breathtaking. It was my first time diving in a... More

I dove 2 days with these guys, and my second day of diving was GREAT! We were with Ben that day, and he was really attentive and focused on safety as well as everyone enjoying themselves. The diving was good, despite a little bit of poor visibility. We also made an extra stop to do some snorkeling because there was... More

My son Peter and I did two day trips to Coiba Island with Scuba Coiba - and had 5 fantastic dives. First and foremost, the dive staff did everything necessary to make sure that everyone was safe and happy from when they first entered the store through all the dives. Ben and Tianya are especially good dive masters. Although recent... More
