Beautiful experience just a 15-min. drive from Stonehenge!

Off the beaten path from the usual Cathedral and Stonehenge visits, but so worth it. Lovely classic car collection, and the tour of the home itself is filled with fascinating historical info.

We chose to come here because it served as part of the interior of "Pemberley" in the 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice, and I am so glad that we did! It was absolutely beautiful, and we truly enjoyed it!! And guys will love the Earl of Pembroke's fancy car collection! Do be sure to check the hours when it... More

I live in Wilton 5 years now so had this opportunity to visit the House many times and during different times of the year. For two years I had a membership and went there 5 times a week so my daughter would have a great fun with other children at the massive playground or just simply feed the ducks at... More

Just a short drive out from Salisbury, but this 'stately home' is worth the trip on its own. From a somewhat unimpressive, iron-gated entrance the fountained forefront leads up to the most amazing residence. Still home to the Earls of Pembroke, the whole place is an elegant reminder of a time when Wilton was the main centre for the whole... More

A beautiful estate with lush gardens and river walk and awesome play area for kids! The House is well kept, there is also a motor museum - displaying the collection of cars by Lord Pembroke.

We spent a superb afternoon here on the Heritage Day when entry was free. There are a number of fantastic sports car here. The house itself has plenty of artwork to admire. The gardens are also worth visiting

Wilton House is one of the great houses of Britain. Do not miss the film which records the history of the house most entertainingly. The motor museum is also of interest to petrol heads. However, it is the house and the paintings which take your breath away. Ornate rooms house superb paintings about which the attendants are so knowledgeable. Ceilings... More

We weren't sure what to expect going here and we are so glad we went. The grounds were amazing - gourgeous rose gardens, Japanese garden, stoll along the river, and the Palladian Bridge is even more beautiful in person than it is in photos. Incredible playground for kids that you could spend the whole day at with little ones and... More

Visited Wilton House as part of the free entry Heritage Visit. Normally entry to the House and Gardens is around £14, please check the website for costs and opening hours. Gardens are very beautiful and well tended and on a nice day I would recommend bringing a picnic and enjoy the grounds. Attractions include the House, a small collection of... More

We visited on a warm sunny day and enjoyed a stroll through the gardens. At lunchtime the lengthy queue to enter the house had disappeared so we went inside. We were not so impressed by the stone statues & busts many of which had damage. The decoration of the main rooms and the quality of the oil paintings was remarkable.... More
