We planned on going as a place to visit and be able to stay out of the rain. The art collection was just amazing. Not just because of the number of master pieces we were able to view them, but to also hear the history of how the family knew some the artists centuries ago when they were obtained. Room... More

We visited Wilton House on Bank Holiday Monday. We first went and saw The Earl Of Pembroke's collection of cars......hmm a very expensive collection it was too. Very interesting here, as there was a lift for the disabled/elderly, who couldn't walk down the steps only about 6 but very helpful for my sister-in-law who had her "walker" with her. The... More

We had a most enjoyable visit to Wilton house. There is an amazing amount of art on show, the rooms are full of paintings and there is a good selection of marble busts. They even have a pair of Fred Astaires shoes! The grounds are lovely, it is well worth a visit. There was also a car exhibition and Cecil... More

We were in the area visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury and thought we would go to Wilton House, however we were disappointed as the House was not open to the public, apparently it only opens at certain times. We did wander around the gardens, although it was probably not the best time of year for gardens as not much in bloom,... More

This was a lovely experience! Great meet up with family friends. Was very busy but then that is to be expected in the easter holidays. The adventure play ground is great for all ages, and fantastic space for picnics. A very safe environment for children to play and our 3 certainly had an amazing time. The only down fall was... Smashing place, and the grounds have much in them, including one of four remaining historical palladian bridges in the world. Its an expensive place to see and not part of English Heritage or National Trust. Not good if you don't live near enough to warrant buying a pass. But worth at least one trip. There is an amazing playground which... More

The gardens and restaurant are fab. The house great if you like visiting houses, once was enough for me, but they do now have different exhibitions. It's expensive to get a season ticket given its closed more than it's open...
