Los Gigantes

Fantastic cliffs which show successive volcanic episodes. Nice village. Boat trips when sea is not too rough

The resort is hilly and difficult to walk around but taxis are always available and very cheap in comparison to England. People are generally friendly and eager to please. A quiet place with plenty bars and restaurants

Los Gigantes is best reached by bus from Playa de las Americas. A return costs about eight euros and the trip is about 50 minutes. Stay on the bus until the terminus(just a bus stop) and walk down the steep hill until you reach the harbour. There are several restaurants there from which you can view the magnificent cliffs. On... Los Gigantes is small, compact but hilly. It has a nice harbour with the best whale and dolphin trip anywhere on the island - Ocean Explorer. There is a variety of cafes, restaurants and shops. In our view, the best restaurants are the Tipsy Lounge and Jardin du Soleil

Just come back from a week in Los Gigantes. Must recommend the TAS-K Tapas Bar (in a small road 2 back from the harbour. Best food: tapas & specials, good prices, excellent service. Just made No1 in Gigantes on TripAdvisor and we can see why. Lovely people & well worth the patronage. Overall the resort is worth a visit but... More

I loved this place. No drunken teens or screaming kids. Great restaurants, nice bars and cafes, friendly locals...though the expats can be a wee bit stand-offish, and nice shops. It's a place to go to relax, take in the amazing scenery, and people watch from sleepy street cafes. There's watersports available down the harbour, and a small black sand beach.... More

Spectacular sea cliffs - a must see attraction. Ideally take a water taxi to the Masca beach and do all or part of the walk in the Masca Valley. The bus from Los Cristianos/Las Americas is very slow (1.5 hours) so leave early!
