The last time we went to Elmley was about 18 months ago with the car and our dog and had a fantastic walk with a lot going on and great wildlife..... This weekend we were going to do the same, but had a quick look on the Internet to see that there is a £5 charge for parking and that... More

An hour from London, but a world away, this reserve takes a lot of beating. It's hard to get away from it all like this in southern Britain. It's a 20 minute drive along a rough track from the main Sheppey road to a place where you can park the car and then you walk another mile to where the... More

a good place to bird watch of course, but good to eat a picnic in the car and gaze at the birds,NOT a good place to visit on foot as lots of big bulls about that like to stand in the road and glare at you! Well worth a look especially if a twitcher.

This is a great place to visit if you enjoy walking, photography, wildlife and wild open countryside with huge skies and fabulous sunsets/sunrises. In the migration season, there are thousands of wading birds. A treat.

If you're looking for a day out enjoying nature and keeping your eye out for the rarities this is the place to go. There are vast miles and miles of nature reserve on the island, you get to drive through a field full of cows to get to it (my favourite bit) and once you're there you'd better be ready... More

Nice and peaceful area to walk and relax. We didn't see a lot of birds though, not sure if we were not patient enough or if it wasn't the right season to come...but we enjoyed it nonetheless. We also saw a hare that was very close to us!

We loved ENNR and Vanellus! We haven't been able to stop talking about the comfortable bed and the breathtaking views. It was a very enjoyable trip and we'll do it again for sure!

This place gives you the perfect mix of solitude and natural beauty, take some Wellington boots it's can get a bit wet under foot and some binoculars. You will get to see some amazing wading birds as well as some raptors hovering over head. It's stark landscape is quite surreal you would not believe you are 1 hour from London... More

I purchased this as a birthday treat for my partner who really enjoys nature photography, thinking 'well a bit tame for me, but he will love the wildlife'. I had no idea this gem existed and would be so stunning. From the minute we started along the drive it was breathtakingly beautiful. I could not believe my eyes. A warm... More
