We attended a wedding there, and it was incredibly lovely what they did for the couple, but it would be hard to have it be anything but gorgeous, as the grounds are incredible, the view spectacular, and the service impeccable! I was especially excited, as this is where they filmed the clandestine meetings and wedding of Anakin and Padme. The... More

I've been to some villas around the lake but this one has the best of best garden and view of the lake. When visiting you feel the passion that the owners put on the place to build one of the more beatiful houses that I've ever seen

After 10 to 15 minutes of uphill climbing by foot among tall and mighty trees, you will get to pretiest villa of all: the Villa Balbianello. The garden and villa are paintfully beautifull. Many young couples come for picture oportunity prior weading. The view of the Como lake is breath taking. Certainly, a must visit.

Go to Lenno, get a speedboat or ferry, and prepare to pay tourism prices to get there. The place itself can be busy, but what a view - Recommend it.

We visited as part of a lake boat trip with Bellagio Water Limousines and our guide at the villa (Samantha) was brilliant. The cost of entry to Villa Balbianello was all part of the boat trip price which seemed very good value as we expected to pay on arrival, especially as we had a private guide for our small group.... A gorgeous villa with beautiful grounds, definitely worth a visit. Take your camera because there are so many gorgeous photo opportunities. The tour is worth it to find out some of the fascinating history - even if you're not a history buff there are some secrets revealed which would fascinate anyone! Be prepared for a 20 minute walk around the... More

First, it is a good hike up so for those who are not up to the task, I suggest take the boat taxi right before the trail. You can also take the taxi back, as we did, to see villa from the water and make the lunch cut off. As for the Villa, way cool. And the deceased last owner... More

Villa Balbianello is one of those place that can leave the visitors with several opposite emotions. The day we visited the villa was gorgeous and, arriving there by boat was fantastic! Before to enter inside the villa we had time to visit the gardens and admire the beautiful sights that the lake of Como offers. Our guide was knowledgeable and,... More
