Loved the walk up the hill to visit a stunning villa and gardens. Quiet, tranquil setting with outstanding views of Lake Como once you reach the top.

The villa is probably one of the most desirable properties in the whole world and is now owned by the Italien equivalent of the National Trust. The villa has a position on Lake Como that is equal to none and is therefore unforgettable. The villa inside is filled with many treasures accumulated by its last owner and is very interesting.... if you're interested in explorers this is the place to go and visit. So much history I'm not going to go into. Just go its amazing so much to see. Get on to a special tour, its worth it. Apparently Casino Royale was filmed in front of the villa. Its a very relaxing time to walk about also.

This is a small and elegant garden and the main feature is the breath taking views. We walked up rather than taking the little boat. It was a gentle, slightly steep walk though the villas' grounds, but well worth the effort.

We have only visited the garden, but even for non-garden lovers, it's easy to recognize this place as something special. You can get there by boat or hiking, but it seems that the hiking route is only accessible a few times a week.

This is probably my favorite villa on Lake Como and the only one where I actually enjoyed seeing the inside of the house and not just the gardens. I arrived by boat (Bellagio water taxis) but I understand it is possible to walk there from the Lenno ferry stop. The grounds and beautiful and offer an amazing view of Lake... More

Found the place on the internet and immediately loved it. Then you reach the Villa from the lake and you discover it's even better than what you expected!!! The guide leads you around the place and tells you all about the interesting story of the Villa during the centuries. In the end you feel like you know the people who... More
