Beautiful beach with nice waves and some of the most beautiful sunsets ever! Lola's has amazing food and is a great place to get a drink and hang out for the sunset! Little off the beaten path so it's never too crowded and is really safe. Love this beach and try to visit it as much I can!

The waves are perfect for children to play in! Lolas is right near the beach and is a must go! Great Smoothies!

I bicycled from Tamarindo, which was a mistake, the roads are bad. Driving may not be much better either. But once you're there find the parking lot of Restaurant Lola and you're at the best place to enjoy the beach, the food, and the drinks. They have bathrooms and even a hand pump style fresh water shower in the parking... More

there is good surf. white sand. spacious beach. friendly people. do be aware of your belongings, petty theft happens frequently... though I've been there over 100 times without any problems (I'm aware of my belongings).

It was nice but I feel like Playa Grande is nicer. Also the roads to get there are not very car friendly.

Every time I am in the area I make sure to spend at least on day at this gorgeous beach. Great waves, great views and super yummy/fun Lolas'!

It's really against my better judgment to even tell anybody about this place as it's pristine and I want to keep it that way but by far the best beach that I keep coming back to coaster Rica time after time after time

Beautiful beach to spend an afternoon. If you stay in Tamarindo, you must drive to this beach. Its only a 20 -25 minutes drive. The place is very quiet, nobody on the beach, its only you and few dogs!

BEach Break just north of Negra. Good when the tides are mid-high and the swell cooperates. Great for beginners and advanced surfers. The farther north you go the bigger the waves. Lolas is also at the beach entrance and a great time as well as good food + Cocktails.

this was the best surf spot I surfed other without having to ride a boat for 2 hours to Ollies and Witches. But you need 4 wheel drive to get there, especially if it rains.
