Considering that this is supposed to be a protected area, it's a shame that there isn't more being done to prevent the huge quantities of garbage from landing in this magnificent sea. Twice I left the water due to floating garbage. It really takes away from the experience. There are places though, that are more protected from the Manado trash...

It´s amazing to visit Bunaken. It´s paradise for diving and snorkling. I reaally enjoyed the trips. It´s just 1 hours off from Manado north of Sulawesi.

Generally a must see if you're an avid diver. Coral life and coral cover is amazing and there's plenty of reef life in the marine park. If you're lucky, you might even get to see schooling eagle rays in the deep or whales might be sighted on the surface. There are plenty of turtles in and around the area and... More

It is only about 30 minutes ride by a speed boat, and 40 minutes by public boat from Manado. The speed boat charges about Indonesian Rupees 500,000... More

Bunaken island is surrounded by the coral wall. You can find here so many coral types of so many forms, shapes and sizes, and so many different fish, some of them are really big and turtles! It makes every dive here quite different and unforgettable!
