We have dove around the world and this was the best diving we ever have had. Corals in great condition and plenty of sealife including lots of green turtles, sea snakes, and a host of other creatures!

I liked the amazing diving from deep drift dives with sharks to macro on the walls to night dives and more. Only disliked one thing leaving again and again and again........

Get yourself and your camera ready to shot amazing creatures down there, you'll live special moments underwater !! Please help to prevent pollution in the area, don't use plastic bottles, refill the one you already brought with you, be respectful and polite. Thanks

First stepped in the beach was very quiet here. The most disturbing is garbage strewn in every corner without anyone trying to clean it up. They just make a big hole in the sand and bury the garbage into. Very concerned about the situation in which we should keep the nature of garbage and plastic waste attack. They said that... More

For those keen on marine conservation, diving and snorkelling, Bunaken must be pretty high on your list of things to do. And what you have heard is all true. Crystal clear blue waters, intense corals, sheer drop off wall, and the wildlife. Oooh! But you better be prepared for the utmost basics in accommodation. Unspoilt natural beauty also means no... Went during the low season, which I hear is a completely different story from visiting in the high season in terms of marine life, but I still had a great time. I forgot how many huge hawsbill turtles I lost count. Many schools of tuna, glassfish, lots of nudis and other great macro life as well. All in all, a... More

We stayed in a private villa in the marine park. Primitive but very nice like Robinson Crusoe😴 The dive operators will pick u up. The only real negative is the plastic influx from nearby Maradona. A real pain in the a.. Diving is excellent with lots of bumpheads, Napoleons, turtles, rays and sharks nice! 😊 Best time July to November

One of Manado's main attraction is Bunaken. Although it sometimes gets overated, but it's still a good place to go snorkeling, eat good seafood dishes. The main village destination as you arrive is just so-so, but it's a breath-taking 30 minutes boat ride, where you get to see the blue sea, the maginificent Manado Tua island-mountain as well as the... One hour needed from Manado city to this Bunaken island, you may ask the place you stay to arrange boat transportation, there's public boat (but only 2 times in a day; 10am and 3pm) or can rent private boat- I advice this way :) .... When I approach the island, looks like nothing special, not as crowd as Bali or... More

Definitely deserves its accolades as the bio diversity is second to none! for anyone who is a diver the Marine Park is worth at least a couple of days of intense diving to appreciate the fabulous corals and of course the fabulous Mandarin!
