Previously one had to struggle a lot for darshan. Now, most of the things have been streamlined so that you will not spend much time searching for information. They have removed ticket counters inside the temple for 'prasada' and this has created lot of inconvenience to devotees. At least one counter should be inside too. The final darshan near garbhagudi... More

This temple has always been quite popular with South Indians; and more so among people from Karnataka. After popular stars like Sachin Tendulkar, Aishwarya Rai, Shilpa Shetty visited this temple, it has become even more popular. The roads have improved considerably and it is an enjoyable drive from Bangalore to Kukke Subramanya. Do check if your planned dates coincide with... More

Temple is clean and tidy. The darshan can be finished in few mins if you buy Seeghradarshan Tickets (costs 100Rs). Finding the ticket counter is little tricky and not much of information is provided on the hoardings. Otherwise a great experience with plenty of decent hotels around.

We reached in this hotel around 8 AM morning. Temple staff asked us to go to Seva list counter if wanted to do any Puja or vidhi or else you can enter to the temple. Temple is very beautiful. Prasadam is good.

Lapped in the luxurious abundance of the beauty of the nature the village of Subramanya lies in the Sullia Taluk in Dakshina Kannada with a sancity which very few places can boast of. The temple is situated in the heart of the village. Nature reveals herself in all her unhidden beauty in the rivers, forests and mountains which the temples... More

Located in Kukke, around 300 km from Bangalore, this famous temple of Subramanya is definitely a must visit for people of Karnataka. For people going from Bangalore, the road route to Kukke is very good till Hassan. The ghat section from Hassan is not that good but can be managed.

I have been visiting this place for the past 40+ years. My last visit was about five years ago. A lot has changed in the town in these five years. Lot of people this time of year for darshan and for different sevas/poojas. Sevas/Poojas were personalized in the past. Now this personalized touch has disappeared.

The main attraction in the temple town. Very crowded on most days particularly on Tuesdays and Ashlesha nakshatra days. The Kumara parvata is worth a visit and Kumaradhara river during monsoon is fantastic.
