After Sakleshpur as you reach the forest gate at Gundya, you need to take a left turn and travel 20 kms to reach the temple town. There is also a railway station on the Hassan - Mangalore stretch close to the... More

Temple is located in nice background. Can get hotels in nominal rate. I stayed in SLR hotel. Pretty decent and wide variety of rooms available. Can take prasad tickets in the temple entrance. Temple is specially for devotees who had sarpa dhosham. Overall its a nice experience

The divine abode of Lord Subramanya lies in the beautiful Western Ghats. I drove down to Kukke which is 105 kms from Mangalore. The roads are in excellent condition and Kukke can be reached in less than 90mins from Mangalore. The temple is widely revered in Karnataka, so expect heavy rush for Darshan on weekends.

The speciality is Adhiseshan (Chariot for Lord Vishnu), Vasuki (Snake escaped from the death row of Janamaejayn) and Subrahmanya. The sand from the snake pit is given as prasadam. ADI SUBRAHMANYA ALSO is very very near. Requires lot of cleanliness and hygiene.

The temple's location is picturesque amidst a hilly background & lush green forest. Everything in the temple is well planned; including the queue for the dharshan & the token / donation system for different types of archana, abhishekha, astothra, coconut offering & prasadam. Buy tokens for everything at the counters in the right side of the temple's main entrance. The... More
