We were off for a traditional temple tour and this was the destination we had to be => Kukke Subrahmanya. Temple is kept up with its old traditions and looks. It is not personified with hugely big gold offerings and all. Its still kept Simple, which is the beauty of it! Some temples have turned out to be Business complexes.... More

The divine abode of Lord Subramanya lies in the beautiful Western Ghats. I drove down to Kukke which is 105 kms from Mangalore. The roads are in excellent condition and Kukke can be reached in less than 90mins from Mangalore. The temple is widely revered in Karnataka, so expect heavy rush for Darshan on weekends.
